Baby Sign Language.com

I've seen babies communicate via sign language for a while now and was always fascinated by it. When Fallon was born, I knew I wanted to try it with her. I was excited when Baby Sign Language.com provided us with their deluxe baby sign language kit to review.
The comprehensive teaching guide is great. It starts out by telling you to pick 5 simple signs to start with. This way the baby masters that first and doesn’t get overwhelmed. It goes on to teach you ways to help the baby learn.  It also helps with how to get the whole family involved in the processes. The more people doing sign in the baby’s life, the easier it is for the baby to communicate to everyone. I also like how it shows you how to combine words to form phrases.

The kit also had a reference dictionary with over 600 words.  Even my older daughter who is 10 wanted to look at all the different signs so she could learn them as well. The dictionary has almost any word you can think of that a baby/child would need to know. From animals and food, to everyday words like potty and out.

The box of flash cards is a great reference tool. Fallon is too young to use them right now, but they are great for me and the adults in the house. Eventually, she will use them. They aren’t flimsy paper, but made of sturdy cards that won’t fall apart easily.

Lastly the kit included an awesome wall chart. The chart has basic signs. We are moving in a couple weeks and I plan on putting this wall chart up in the living room  play area. That way it’s easy for everyone to see and use.

Fallon goes to a day care center that usually doesn’t do sign with the babies but does with the older kids. I talked to them about wanting to teach Fal, and they thought it was a great idea. We have started with 5 signs like the book suggested (up, more, milk, all done, mom/dad). She quickly learned more and started signing it back to us while eating.

You don’t even have to wait for your order to arrive, you can start today with Baby Sign Language's free printable information. You can print out a wall chart and some flash cards.

Their deluxe kit is HALF OFF right now for $39.95, with a normal price of $74.80. Don't miss out on this deal!

Make sure you check them out on facebook and twitter  for awesome tips and videos.
