doTERRA Intro Kit review and giveaway!

Winner: foreverhugged@gmail.com

I admit it! I am a doTERRA junkie! I just love it, I love the products- and I have tried many. This month I was lucky enough to receive the Intro Kit from DoTERRA this month. This kit includes 5ml bottles of lemon, peppermint and lavender, which are definitely a favorite of most essential oil users. This kit also includes a very easy to listen to audio CD about the uses of essential oils as well as a booklet describing essential oils and uses.

doTERRA Peppermint- This is an oil I have purchased in the past for headaches. DoTERRA is by far my favorite brand of peppermint oil. I personally love to apply it to my temples for the headaches that I suffer from (I also love the Past Tense from DoTERRA for this as well.) Recently though, I started mixing the peppermint with lavender oil and applying it to my husband’s back. He has two slipped discs and occasionally has a flair up. He says that this combo of oils works fantastic for the pain. Natural pain relief! That is the way to go. Also, when I am feeling a little sleepy and cannot focus, I will just sniff the bottle from time to time. It is also a great appetite suppressant if you smell this during meal time. It is a great oil that has so many uses!

doTERRA Lavender- This is the oil that is most bought…with good reason. Lavender is perfect for helping to relax so it can be rubbed on pulse points or the bottom of the feet to help relax or even go to sleep. I personally run a small amount on my little ones shirt or romper when he is fighting sleep and almost immediately he drifts off into a sounds sleep. I am also a cloth diapering mom and do cloth wipes as well.  My cloth wipe solution is one cup of hot water, five drops of tea tree oil and five drops of lavender oil. This solution is anti-microbial (tea tree) and soothing to skin- lavender. Lavender not only calms your spirit, but it is known to calm skin. It is great for diaper rash as well as burns. I totally believe that using the solution for my little man’s wipes is the reason that he has NEVER had a diaper rash at five months old.

doTERRA Lemon- I have to say that next to bergamot- Lemon is my favorite scent of essential oil, so I haave been known to simply wear it as a perfume…and while you are wearing it, it helps with mood elevation- so it is a win win for me! I also love to diffuse this with my cool air diffuser while I am cleaning. It gives me a boost of energy, but also neutralizes odors in my house. It can also be used with coconut oil to apply to your cuticles to smooth them. It can be combined with peppermint oil to refresh and clean your toothbrush after use…and even be used to soothe cold sores. It is perfect for cleaning your counters or furniture, because it is non-toxic, works well and smells great! Such a multi-purpose oil!! Simply fantastic. As I type this, I am sitting here smelling the vial because I love it that much.
