My Sensory Box Review and Giveaway

My oldest son has always been a math whiz. The kid can count objects by just glancing at them and I have never had a hard time teaching him basic math. But he also has sensory issues.  So while he excels at one thing, he struggles with another. My youngest was not so lucky in the math department. We are still working on counting with him. His speech delay has a lot to do with this. But now that he can say the numbers we have been trying to work on counting with him and some basic math.  Since my oldest has sensory issues I am always looking for ways to expose him to different textures. That is where My Sensory Box comes into play in our house.  We received the Math Box and it has been so much fun for my boys!

Not only is it a great way to introduce math to my youngest, but its a great sensory activity for my oldest. This box really comes with some awesome activities in it. There are several measuring spoons and cups, which both of my boys LOVED.  I cannot tell you how many times my little one scooped up the fun multi-colored rice and poured it back out.  It always amazes me how the simple activities seem to be the most loved.  It also came with a string and numbers that can be strung onto it.  It's a great activity for fine motor skills. It also came with tiles that are great for introducing measurement to little ones. We talked about which one was longest and shortest. It also came with little bears mixed in and we had fun with those. Mostly my little one made them dance! There were lots of foam shapes to play with too.  I loved introducing these shapes to my 4 year old. He knew the basic ones but its always good practice and the octagon always gets him.  So the shapes have been great for my Zack :)
I am pretty sure that this has been one of their favorite review items.  This activity is a little messy, but a few minutes of clean up is worth seeing their smiling faces, and knowing that they are engaging their mind.  I love activities that are fun and educational. My Sensory Box has some really cool subscription options.  You can sign up for an entire year or you can pay a monthly price.  You can also give this as a gift, can I just say that a subscription of this would make an AWESOME Christmas or Birthday gift?!  It is such an original product! I also love the convenience of My Sensory Box, all the prep work is done for you.  And in a day of technology and tablets, it's nice to give or get a gift that does not need to be charged.  The only thing you need for this is a plastic bin to keep it in.  And if you are worried about cleanup; just put down a mat under the box.  These boxes are perfect for kids ages 3-7.

My Sensory Box is giving one of you lucky readers a Fall Box! How Exciting! Please enter below.
