Imagine i CAN® Manhattan Toy Games Giveaway

As I have talked about here before, I love anything that requires creative play and allows my little guys to use their imagination. I love nothing more than watching them play simple games that do not requires lots of lights and batteries to operate. I was recently contacted to review a few really cool games from the Manhattan Toys: Imagine I Can line. Every teacher that has taught my little man from PreK-3 to now, first grade, has commented on his incredible imagination. He can seriously turn a paper bag into a whole world of dinosaurs in a few short minutes. I think a big part of his ability to use his imagination is introducing him to toys like the Imagine i CAN line from a very early age.

The First we received was the Roll and Bowl Line. What I love most about this, is the entire game is sent in an easy to carry tin, so it is perfect to take to friends houses, or just to pack away on our game shelf here. The tin could technically be used as a lunchbox if you are into multi-purposing items!
Bowling and rolling fun all in one easy-to-carry tin! Kit includes: 6 wooden bowling pins, 1 wooden bowling ball, 8 marbles and 3 wooden obstacle pieces. Weave the marbles over, under and through the obstacles or flick the bowling ball into the pins for two kinds of rolling play!
Basically this game from Manhattan Toys can be used anyway you would like. You can play with it as a traditional bowling game, or you can use it as an obstacle course with the 8 marbles that are included. My oldest, who is six, and I had loads of fun! The only downside we saw, and I realize it would not be a problem with many families, are the marbles. Having a 10 month old in the house, we had to be ESPECIALLY careful that a marble did not get away from us. We did have a ton of fun playing this at baby brothers nap time though!  It was great bonding time for he and I!

My favorite of the two items we received from Manhattan Toys was the Shape Stack Small Tin Game. At only $6 this is the PERFECT stocking stuffer. As smart and as imaginative as my little man is, he sometimes struggles with his handwriting, and in fact, that is his lowest grade in all of his classes. I personally believe games like the Shape Stack help to build his fine motor skills and will eventually improve his handwriting and ability to do other things that require the muscles in his hands to become more developed. Aside from that, it is GREAT fun. Seriously, how simple but fun is stacking different wooden shapes on a semi-circle and see how many you can get before it collapses? I was never able to get more than four and he was never able to get more than three, but we are still working on it!

If you place a value on imagination like I do, and want to get away from the noise filled toys that are such a big part of most kids Christmas wish lists, check out the Imagine i CAN line from Manhattan Toys. I really believe you will be pleasantly surprised with what they offer!

Win It: One lucky winner will receive their choice of Imagine i CAN Stained Glass Garden, Galaxy or Circus, Manhattan Toys Roll and Bowl Anywhere, Mini Play Sets: Jungle or Farm Fun, Knitting Beginnings, Pet Rock Pals, Lace and Play Animals, Create a Puppet, or one of the three Tin Games: Shape Stack, Cheese Chase, or Caterpillar Connect. You can learn more about these toys and more by watching Manhattan Toys YouTube Videos.
