Click Protein Coffee

As a bariatric patient, I need a lot of protein. Our motto is protein first. Most of us have a number of grams of protein that try and reach every day. We reach that number from protein drinks, and food. Drinks are a quick and easy way to get there. I am a huge coffee fan and have been hearing about Click for a long time now and have really wanted to try it. I was very excited when they said they would send me some samples.

Click is like a protein shake but with coffee and they make it in Mocha, mocha decaf, vanilla latte and the new Caramel.  I was sent a sample of each and a canister of the Mocha. I have tried so many protein drinks and many of them leave that protein after taste. The first time I tried the Click Mocha I fell in love. It tasted like coffee and chocolate and no after taste.

What are the main features?
  • Double Shot Espresso Coffee
  • 15 Grams of lasting protein
  • 23 vitamins & minerals
  • ONLY 120 calories

You can make click a few ways. The easiest is to mix it in a blender ball cup. Add 12-14 ounces of water, add 2 scoops of Click, cover and shake until blended. If you want it hot, do the same method as mentioned before but then put it in the microwave until it’s at the temp you want. I don’t recommend shaking it after that though, stir if you need to. You can also blend it in a blender with ice if you want it cold.

For me I put mine in a blender cup but I don’t use water. I use about 12 oz of skim milk. It adds a little more richness and of course a little more protein from the milk. It goes down so smooth and gives me that coffee fix with the added benefit of protein. If you are a WLS patient that can’t do caffeine, I understand. Click makes a decaf Mocha as well.

I haven’t seen Click in stores yet but you can buy them directly from their site. One canister is about $24.00. It may seem like a lot but once it’s broken down it’s not bad. The canister has about 14 servings. So if you divide the price by serving it comes to about $1.71 per shake, if you add milk like me it’s a little more but not much. So for about $2 you have your shake and between 15-23 grams of protein (if you add milk).

Also if you are into any sugar free drink syrups you can add a tablespoon to it and mix the flavors up. I tried it with a strawberry DaVinci syrup and it was so good. If you’re not sure which flavor you would like, you can order a sample pack of them to help with your decision.
