Natures Own Essence Frankincense Essential Oil

Over the course of the last couple months, I have been learning a lot about Essential Oils and how I can use them to help myself, my family and everyone else. Each Week for 5 weeks, I will be talking about one oil. The really exciting part is that at the end of the 5 weeks Nature's OwnEssence will be giving one lucky winner 5 oils (Lavender, Frankincense, Peppermint, Rosemary and Moroccan Argan) valued at over $300. I am very excited to work with Nature's Own Essence and thankful they agreed to let me try their oils.

I’m sure we all have heard of Frankincense from the bible. I never really thought what it could do other than it was given to Jesus. Nature's Own Essence has found the purest frankincense essential oil made from the milky-white resin of the Boswellia Carterii trees in Somolia, a region known for producing the highest quality frankincense oil.

The oils came at a perfect time. Mya is 11 and is starting to get some acne like most kids her age. Not only that but she got eaten up by mosquitoes (horrible right now) from being outside for a few hours.  They were bugging her and she was itching the constantly.

I have learned with oils and kids it’s best to dilute with a carrier oil (coconut, olive…) I used some coconut oil and a drop of frankincense, rubbed it all together and got her legs all over. When it comes to oils you really only need to use a drop. It is so concentrate that it goes a long way especially with the help of coconut oil.

We did this regimen a couple of times and she noticed that the itching stopped and they healed the fastest I have ever seen.  The first 2 pictures are from the day she got bit, and the 3rd was the NEXT DAY!!! We did leave one bite alone so we could tell the difference. The one we left alone still kept itching and bothering her far after the other had stopped.

I mentioned that she has acne. Since it’s only a few spots on her face we didn’t dilute it, instead I put one drop on a q-tip and we dabbed each pimple with the oil. The following day the pimple was gone. I still get acne once in a while and trust me when I say I will be using the Frankincense each and every time from now on.

My husband was in an accident 2 weeks ago with his motorcycle, a driver was not paying attention and hit him. Luckily it was at low speeds and in town so he wasn’t hurt too bad, scrapes, cuts, bruises and a fractured thumb which required surgery. He also suffered a couple burns from the pipes on the Harley. A friend had some Lavender and we put that on right away for a day or two then my oils came in. We put the Frankincense on with the coconut oil and it really helped his burns. As you can imagine, they are tender especially on the back and side of the legs.

I could sit here and write a book to tell you how much I am loving these oils. Those are just a few things we have tried so far and have helped us immensely. Frankincense can help in so many other ways. Here are a few other ways. To find more please look at the Nature's Own Essence site or other sites that are informational only and aren’t selling you anything. There are SO MANY benefits to Frankincense that this is just a very small few:

  • It can fight off infections. Like most essential oils, frankincense essential oil has powerful antibacterial properties which make it a good antiseptic. You can use it topically by directly applying it on a wound or spreading it over a gauze or bandage.
  • It can reduce inflammation. Frankincense essential oil has a soothing property that reduces swelling in mostly any part of the body. If you have a big wound with swollen tissues, you can gently massage it around the wound to reduce the inflammation.
  • It reduces fatigue. Just like how it complements meditation, frankincense essential oil works great in fighting off fatigue. It has the power to relax and energize at the same time, giving you a feeling of easiness and energy that will help you overcome exhaustion and burnout.
  • It can reduce the appearance of scars. This oil can be massaged gently on the scarred surface of the skin several times a day. This will help rejuvenate the natural skin components and repair the broken skin tissues.
  • It can also help eliminate stretch marks. Like how it works on scars, frankincense oil also helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Pregnant women may apply the oil on their belly and massage it gently. This can be done post-partum as well. Just make sure that the skin is not overly sensitive and doesn’t get irritated from regular application.

There are so many more, please take time to research on your own to find what ways it can help you. Also when buying essential oils, make sure you are buying from a reputable seller and make sure they aren’t synthetic as those can be hard on your skin and in my opinion are not even on the same playing field as 100% natural oils.

Want to order From Nature's Own Essence?  While the price tag may surprise you as it is expensive, it is worth every penny. Also I have noticed that Nature's gives you a much larger bottle then most companies I have seen for almost the same price. So you are getting a great deal. Right now they are offering a coupon code for 15% off your entire order plus you are eligible for free shipping. For those who live in Canada, they ship there too for $9.99. Please use the coupon code tnm15p when checking out. To get the discount you need to order from their site and not through a 3rd party. Also coupons can't be used in addition with any other coupons.

Please stay tuned as next week I will be talking about Lavender oil.
