Natures Own Essence Peppermint Essential Oil

Over the course of the last couple months, I have been learning a lot about Essential Oils and how I can use them to help myself, my family and everyone else. Each Week for 5 weeks, I will be talking about one oil. The really exciting part is that at the end of the 5 weeks Nature's Own Essence will be giving one lucky winner 5 oils (Lavender, Frankincense, Peppermint, Rosemary and Moroccan Argan) valued at over $300. I am very excited to work with Nature’s Own Essence and thankful they agreed to let me try their oils.

The last 2 weeks we talked about Frankincense and Lavender, this weeks topic is Peppermint.

Being a weight loss surgery patient, I tend to have digestive issues way too often than I care to admit. I have learned that peppermint can help big time in that department. Nature’s Own Essence offers the purest undiluted peppermint essential oil which has been locally cultivated and extracted by organic farmers, guaranteeing freshness and purity.

I tried it back when I was pregnant but it didn’t seem to help me then with nausea. I have recently started using it for nausea again and it does help some. It pretty much came down to nothing helps me when i’m pregnant but that’s another story. Besides just smelling it, i rub a little on my stomach every 15 minutes or so until i feel some relief.

How does Peppermint Essential Oil Benefit You?

  • This essential oil is a powerful expectorant. Used in aromatherapy, it aids in relieving nasal congestion as well as respiratory problems. It allows easier release of mucus and promotes better breathing.
  • Not only does it work as an expectorant, it also helps with other respiratory problems such as sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis, and influenza.
  • As an aromatherapy oil, the minty smell gives a fresh ambiance inside the room or home.
  • The scent also helps repel insects, and even mice and rats. The smell of the oil is very strong for these pests.
  • Topically, it helps relieve various pains such as headache, migraine, stomach cramps, muscle spasm, joint paints, and arthritis. The menthol helps loosen the muscles and release tension in the painful areas. The oil also has sedative properties that work hand in hand with the minty scent.
  • Peppermint essential oil is very well-known for its gastrointestinal benefits. You can use it for any kind of abdominal pain from indigestion, diarrhea, dyspepsia, heartburn, menstrual cramps, etc.
  • Because of the minty smell, peppermint oil works very well in relieving stress and increasing energy levels to keep you alert and awake during the day.

Who doesn’t have stress and or a headache at some point in their lives? I am one who suffers from migraines. to help alleviate the headache I rub it on the back of my neck a few times. It helps for regular headaches and if I catch a migraine super early. If I don’t catch it in time, then the migraine gets to bad for the peppermint
