MiniLuxe Nail Polish

What woman or girl doesn’t like getting her nails done once in a while right? Mya absolutely LOVES painting her nails and there have been days where she has had a new color every day. I don’t mind since she is old enough to do her own. I think it’s cute. MiniLuxe contacted me asking me to try out part of their new line. Of course I said yes since there is no such thing as too many nail polish bottles.

The first one we were sent it called “Love That Dirty Water”. That has to be one of the best names I have heard in a long time. It’s a gray color, which I wasn’t so sure of at first but I loved it when I put it on. It looks more like a blueish gray when applied. I was actually in the hospital when I put it on (I know weird place but hey, gotta do something). I probably had close to 10 staff members, Dr’s, nurses, aids… comment on the color and how much they liked it. I probably could have gotten away with just one coat but wanted it a little thicker and darker. I love how easily it went on.

Since I have gotten home, Mya had her friend Jaquella over and she really wanted the Love that Dirty Water, so I decided to use her as a model instead of myself. She was being pretty silly during the pictures.

The second color we got was their Harvard Crimson. It’s a very pretty red, very rich looking. Mya just had to have that one, so once mine dried we did her nails as well. I think if my nurse had time she would have sat down and had her nails done too, she loved the colors so much. We all loved how dark the red was and how it really looked great with her very tan skin.

The MiniLuxe polishes are “five-free,” which means they are free of dangerous ingredients that can cause dysfunction to the central nervous system, reproductive organs, and may even cause cancer. This includes formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalates (DBP) and toluene. Their polishes go beyond the industry standard, and are produced without using formaldehyde resin and camphor – ingredients that can cause skin irritation, inflammation, allergies, and migraine headaches. I get migraines very easily especially with smells and I didn’t get a headache from these. We love absolutly them.

If you happen to live Massachusetts you are lucky because there is probably a MiniLuxe Salon near you. You can find a location from their site. I wish I had one near me. They offer manicures, nails, wax from brows, bikini and more.
