Avent Confort Manual Breast Pump

August is national Breastfeeding month, did you know that? My youngest is a little over 2 and no longer nursing. We did nurse until 16 months and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I help women breastfeed everyday (side hobby) but I also know that it isn’t for everyone. Some women just want to pump and feed with a bottle and some don’t want to at all and just want to use formula, and that is ok. Avent contacted me asking me to look at their Comfort Manual breast pump. Since breastfeeding is a passion of mine, I of course said yes.

While a double electric pump is amazing, a small single manual can come in handy as well, especially if you are out and about and no where near an outlet but need relief.

I have used a lot of different breast pumps and usually the breast shield is a tough plastic with no give at all. What really set this pump apart from the others is the massager for the breast. It makes it more comfortable while pumping.

Another thing is that this pump is quite, unlike any electric pump. So it’s perfect if baby falls asleep on one side, didn’t nurse on the other and you pump while they are sleeping.

The comfort manual breast pump comes with a bottle that you can pump right into, plus it comes with a nipple that is designed to be like the natural nipple. So it has everything you need to get started. Breast pumps are an investment, but this one is priced affordable at $44.99 and is worth every penny. I would still consider an electric pump if you will be doing a ton of pumping, but this is perfect for on the go so you don’t have to be hassled for outlets, space and everything else.

You can buy this pump right from from Philips or most major big box stores like Target, Walmart, Babies R Us, Diaper.com and so many more. Check them out the next time you are in a store and if a friend is having a baby and you know she will be nursing/pumping consider this as a baby shower gift.
