Living Plug outlet

Do you have an outlet in one of your rooms that is in a very inconvenient spot? I know I do. I swear design is not thought of when placing them in houses. Living Plug has made a boring outlet into art and still functionable. I was happy to try one out for them.

With the Living Plug I love that all kids see is a box on the wall, but they don’t see what else it is. This is great for adults. Not only does it hide, an outlet but it’s a safety measure as well. Underneath the INLET are 3 yes 3 plugins. On the top of the INLET is a USB port and the on/off button. When you aren’t using the Living Plug, you can turn it off to save electricity and cost.

Approximately 2,400 children receive emergency room treatment every year for injuries caused by inserting objects into electrical outlets. I’m so glad that Living Plug isn’t just about design but also about children’s safety.

Since art taste differs with every person, there isn’t one design that would please all. So Living Plug created a faceplate for the INLET that allows you you change it in a matter of seconds. This way you can put what you want and when you want a change you can switch them out. You can do a wood grain, animals, modern or even design your own faceplate. I think this is especially great for a kitchen or living room.

When designing your own faceplate, keep the following in mind: “The uploaded image should be minimum 150 dpi and please crop it to be 5 7/8″ X 5 7/8 square.  Also, please send either an image that you have taken or one that you have legal permission to duplicate.  LivingPlug will review all images for copyright infringement and we cannot print anything we feel is in violation of a copyright or that we feel is inappropriate.”

Right now you can buy the INLET and the faceplates on their website. If you want to buy more than one device you will save money.

Living Plug is giving one lucky winner their own INLET and choice of faceplate from their gallery. Please use the Giveaway Tools below for your chance to win.

I like the marbalized blue. it makes me think of an aquarium. I think they could have a series of tropical fish, each outlet displaying a different variety
