Luminess Air Epic System

Do you watch infomercials and wonder if they really are as good as they say? Ok, well I know I do. I recently had the opportunity to try out Luminess Air. It is an airbursh makeup system. So this was my chance to really see if the infomercials were right, and I’m so glad I said yes.

I was lucky to have the new Epic system sent to me along with the starter kit. The starter kit comes with the normal daytime makeup of moisturizer, foundation, blush and glow. It also comes with the night time starter kit with night moisturizer and skin protector.

There are 4 different tones in the foundation so you can mix them to match your skin tone. I’m am very light so I use a mix of the 1 and 2. My daughter uses a mix of 2 and 3 since she is way more tan than I am.

I love that the Epic system has tutorials right there so you can watch as you do it and learn every step of the way from turning it on to cleaning it when you are done. It makes it super easy for someone who has no idea what they are doing with the machine. I was able to follow along the first time I used it, then after that I didn’t need it anymore but I knew if I needed a tutorial on a different part it was there and I didn’t have to go and search for one.

It was much easier to show you how everything is done by doing my daughter’s makeup. she of course was more than happy to help. As you can see by the pictures of Mya, her makeup doesn’t look over the top or “caked” on. I think it looks natural. I of course added some eye makeup for the full effect.

I love how easy it is to use. A few friends asked if it really saves time as it seems like it would take longer than regular makeup. From what I could tell (and totally depends on your routine) it took longer the first couple times. Once I had the routine down, it was just as fast. I do love how it feels on my skin. Not as heavy as normal liquid foundation. I did notice that if I didn’t wash my face that night (I know bad, bad, bad) that it was oilier than normal. That can be solved a lot easier by remembering to wash
my face.

Price wise, yes this is a very expensive machine, but if you are very into makeup and want a lighter look then I would consider buying it. They have more than the Epic, and price ranges vary depending on what you are looking for. As for the price of the makeup, I honestly don’t think it’s that bad. The initial price may seem high, but you only use a few drops per day so the bottle lasts a long time. I can’t wait to get some of the eye shadows as I LOVE eye makeup.

Check out their site today for more tips and tricks on how to do your makeup. Also if you aren’t interested in the airbrush they do have regular makeup you can try out as well. They sometimes have giveaways on their facebook and twitter pages so make sure you follow them.
