Tech 21 phone cases and screen protection

Cellphone cases and screen protectors are very important. If you are like most people, you will drop your phone at least once. You are risking breaking that phone without a case on it. Tech 21 asked if I would check out their cases and screen protectors. I of course said yes as we all have cell phones.

For the phone case, I decided to get the one for the HTC One M8.  I love the fact that the case is orange since orange and purple are my favorite colors.

The Impact Frame case only goes around the frame and back of the phone. There is no screen protector included in this one. You have to work a little to get it on, which is good because then you know that it won’t fall off. I could say that it fits like a glove and isn’t bulky, which I really like. I have had a case for one of my other phones where it was too easy to put on and then would fall off. It was like it wasn’t cut right even though it was for that exact phone.

Features:
  • Fully Integrated Case with D3O® military-grade impact protection material

  • Encases the corners and back of the device to provide a secure fit and feel

  • PC back plate provides additional protection from scratches, direct bumps and knocks

  • Full access to all ports and function buttons

  • Slim design ensures full protection without adding any bulk

  • Raised screen bezel

I’m still using my iPhone 4s until at least next month. I’m holding out for the 6. My screen protector was getting pretty old and starting to come off so I really needed a new one, it was great timing for Tech 21 to offer one to me.

I have to say, it was probably one of the easiest protectors i have ever put on. There is no adjusting the size or anyting. It also comes with a little guide that helps make sure it’s in the right spot. Once it’s on you just take the heavy cardboard piece to smooth out the little air bubbles and you are good to go.

It’s really thick and you would think things would catch it and it would come up, but it doesn’t. Now Tech 21 says it uses bulletShield to displace the impact. I’m not going to test that theory out but take their word for it. I do feel better having this on the screen so that if anything does happen to my phone I know the screen won’t shatter. Before the protector I had on it really was just for scratches and such. It was really to do much more than that.

The cost of the protector is $34.95 which is more than most, but still not bad at all. Especially when you consider all that it does plus it would cost more to fix your phone or replace it if you really cracked the screen.

Features:

  • Anti-Glare

  • Impactology: Intelligent impact protection

  • Easy bubble-free application

  • Three layer structure with BulletShield™ featuring BASF polymer

  • Perfect optical clarity, non-UV yellowing and Anti-Scratch
