The Happy Trunk: The Subscription Box for Happy Kids!

As you know, we love arts and crafts, science and subscription boxes! I was recently lucky enough to receive The Happy Trunk! The Happy Trunk is different than other boxes because it combines both arts and science, which happens to be my oldest sons favorite things! There are two boxes: one for ages 3-7 and 8-11. We opted for the 8-11 option since my son is particularly talented in science and crafts at only almost 7.

The box we received included everything we needed for three fun activities. An LED conductor, a paper machete kit to make a lantern and a mask. We had a ton of fun doing each, and particularly the mask! I am actually the one that added the material to the plastic mask and shaped it and let it dry since my little man did not like the way it felt on his hands. He had a blast painting it though! Even though he has had a lot of fun playing with his mask, we now have it hanging in his room as a decoration because it is rather heavy duty!! After making the lantern we realized we should have done a few more layers of the paper, because it was a little light weight! We still have plenty of the paper machete glue left, and we do plan on doing this super fun activity again in the near future!
3-7 years age group boxes: These are theme activity boxes with art, craft and science activities. Each box has all materials and know how to complete 2-3 projects inspiring creativity and exploration.

8-11 years age group boxes: The Happy Trunk boxes for this age group are designed differently. These boxes do not follow a particular theme. Each box comes with 2 projects, one more geared towards arts & crafts, and one towards scientific exploration. All materials and know how included.

We have just had a really good time. I am so glad that we received this Trunk during the summer! It has made for awesome activities to keep my little man away from his tablet some during the summer! It has definitely stimulates his brains! At only $19.95 a box, it is well worth it because of the creativity and originality of the projects inside!
