Lean, Clean and Savvy snacks

When it comes to snacks I try to have more healthy options than the not so healthy options. Suzie Carpenter wanted to have a snack that was delicious but wasn’t loaded with sugar, artificial or unnecessary ingredients.  Clean, Lean and Savvy asked that I take a look and try out a few of their products. Since they are Gluten Free I wanted to give them a try. Some of my friends kids that are here a lot can’t have gluten and it’s nice to have options for them.

The first item I tried was their Mini Slim Pretzels. They are corn free, nut free, soy free and dairy free. They are also made with expeller pressed high oleic sunflower oil. They use sunflower oil since it’s said to be better for you than other oils.

This was the first time I have tried these so they tasted different than what I was used to. I have to be honest, and after eating a few they weren’t that bad but not my favorite. I think they are a great alternative to a regular pretzel especially for the people that can’t have soy, dairy or nuts. As far as calories go 1 small bag is only 160 and is the perfect size for a snack. Price wise they look expensive but 36 bags come in a box and for $35.64 that only comes out to be about $1 per bag so very competitive.  You can also buy in a large bag (8oz) and still get a good deal.

The second product I tried was their Air Popped Popcorn with Sea Salt. I love popcorn, I mean love it, so I was excited to find a new brand to try out. Much like the pretzels, they use sunflower oil to make the popcorn. The popcorn is gluten free, zero trans fat, nothing artificial, vegan and NON GMO. You would think with all that, it would take away some of the taste. It doesn’t, I honestly couldn’t tell a difference.

The small bags have the same pricing as the pretzels but the large bags are 4oz so they are less for 12 bags. Me, personally, I would spend the extra couple dollars on the popcorn, it is that good. I wish I a lot more bags to eat.

Clean, Lean & Savvy also have Coconut Cashew bars and Honey Almond bars, so check them out and add to your snack drawer or shelf (we have a shelf).
