Educational Insights My First Microscope and the riddle show

Do you have a child that loves telling jokes or riddles? Educational Insights has the best toy for that. did that sound a little infomercialish? Didn’t really mean to, but anyway, if they do then The Riddle Show from Educational Insights is perfect for them.

I’m sure you are wondering what exactly The Riddle Show is. It is not an actually show, however when playing with it, your child can make their own show.

Yes, I will be the first to admit that I am a child of the internet, and i love electronics, but there are time when you just don’t need them (gasp, did I just type that?). I absolutely love how interactive this microphone is. You and your kids can get hours of entertainment out of this toy.

Batteries come in it already, so you are already set there. all you have to do is take it out of the packaging and start playing. With over 145 jokes and riddles, here will probably be a few that you have heard, and there are a few corny ones (they are for kids, of course they are corny), but overall they are cute and fun.

Shh… They’re Learning!
  • Increases listening comprehension skills
  • Enhances critical thinking skills
  • Builds vocabulary
  • Increases self-confidence and self-esteem

This is more for children that are 6 and over, but some kids a little younger i’m sure can have lots of fun with it as well. The selling point is $21.99, so perfect range for a Christmas or birthday present. I would order one or 2 today, and just in time for the holidays.

My First Microscope

I remember being a kid and going “hunting” for worms and snakes and being really interested in science. As I got older, that all went away as I got more into music and well makeup. I kind of wish I would have done more and continued a like for science as I got older. So when Education Insights offered the My First Microscope to me, I said yes. I figured my daughter could play with it and learn a little something.

I’m going to say right away that Fallon is only 2, and this is for ages 3 and up. So, I do have to watch and help her since there are some small parts.

Fallon seemed to love this microscope right away and kept saying “look, look” and wanted me to look. I couldn’t pry her away from this thing if I wanted to. It’s pretty neat. I love the fact that it really encourages imagination and learning without the need of my iphone, tablet or laptop. We get so used to teaching our kids on electronics that we forget about the basics.

Shh… They’re Learning
  • Encourages scientific exploration
  • Rewards curiosity
  • Introduces kids to a key scientific tool

Cut to the Chase
  • A microscope designed with preschoolers in mind
  • View anything at up to 8x magnification
  • Part of the award-winning line of science toys

The price of this toy is only $21.99, which to me is a great price point. Educational Insights provides a toy that isn’t just for a boy, but for both genders. I bet your kids, grandkids, niece, nephew etc would love to get this. It only takes a few seconds to set up so they can start learning right away.

Please note that this needs 3 AAA batteries and does not come with them. I have learned over the years that I should take toys out of the box, put batteries in and make sure each toy is ready to use before wrapping it. It saves tons of time and impatient children. At least that is the case for me and my kids (surely we can’t be alone lol).
