Quest Protein Chips

Being a WLS patient, it comes down to protein, protein, protein. I’m always on the lookout for things that I can eat that have protein but not feel like i’m eating “WLS” food.  When Quest Nutrition asked me to try out their new Protein Chips, I had to say yes.

I have always loved Quest’s protein bars so when I heard When I heard healthy chips, I was like wait, how healthy are we talking about? Well, Quest answered that with chips that have only 5 grams of carbs and 21 grams of protein. Yes you read that right, 21 grams in one serving.

Currently Quest Protein Chips come in 5 flavors: Sea Salt, Cheddar & Sour Cream, Sour Cream & Onion, Salt & Vinegar and BBQ. I was sent the Cheddar & Sour Cream, Sea Salt and BBQ.

I think the bag sizes are great at 1 ⅛ oz. Since I only have a pouch I don’t require much in one sitting so these bags are perfect.

The first one I tried were the BBQ since that is one of my favorite flavors of chips. I thought they were really good. Didn’t taste exactly like potato chips, but I knew it wouldn’t be exactly with so much protein packed into them. In my opinion they do leave a bit of an after taste but it’s not to bad.

I do love the Sea Salt flavor. To me it’s not super strong, but you still get that salty treat that we all need once in awhile. This is a chip that you can eat and not feel guilty about.

A box of 8 bags is $16.75. Yes this is a big more expensive than normal potato chips, but that’s because you are getting a ton of protein, much less carbs and a lot healthier for you. You can order right from their website. While you are there, i recommend that you check out their protein bars as well.
