Great eye makeup with mary kay

I really love makeup, but my favorite is eye makeup. most of the time my face looks the same so, with eye makeup I can play around more with different looks. Mary Kay asked if I would take a look at a few of their items, I wasn’t turning down that opportunity. I have used Mary Kay products in the past but not very often, so I was excited to try a few I knew I hadn’t before.

I’m 30 and I should be out of the acne phase. If you read my reviews often, you know that is not the case, and i still suffer with acne. I am starting to love this pen more and more, especially with breakouts. I’m pretty pale so I got the shade 2 which blended in perfectly. You only use a little bit, at a time and in only the areas that you need it. This way one pen can last a long time. If you need to later you can reapply it and it won’t make your face look really heavy with makeup.

Who doesn’t like a little shimmer in their shadow? I know I do, and I like applying just a little to my upper eyelid. This way I have a little color on top and it doesn’t look bare with the other colors. Mary Kay has a ton of options as far as colors go for their mineral eye. Also if you have the compact you can just snap in the color, that way you don’t have to carry around each color by itself. I like that I didn’t have to use very much to get the look I wanted. I used the Sparkling White so a little goes a long way.

I love me some Eyeliner, there is no doubt about that. My eyes feel naked without that and without mascara. I usually really like liquid just for the ease of putting it on, but it can be very messy. Mary Kay’s gel eyeliner comes in a little glass bottle with a separate applicator. I like that the brush applicator has a top to it so that the brush doesn’t get dirty. It’s a small brush and very fine so you can be as thick or thin as you want to be. It’s gel, but it’s very lightweight and easy to apply, and once it’s dry you can’t smudge it like you easily can with pencil liners. I definitely will be putting this in my favorite section.

Mary Kay products are a great gift idea for Christmas, birthday or if you are like me, anytime of the year. Check them out and you can look on their site for a beauty consultant that is near you to help if needed.

  1. This sounds very interesting. I am older than you and still have breakouts too. I never had any problems when I was a teenager either. Funny how things work. I love Mary Kaye and thanks for the great information. Rita Spratlen

  2. I am just like you, I do not like wearing make up. So I just wear eye make up and it really does make a difference. I tried Mary Kay years ago and I know they have come a long way since so I will have to look into trying them out again.
