great makeup and nails from NYC and Sally Hanson

I love eye makeup, I always have. It’s a fun way to dress things up a big and have a little fun.  NYC and Sally Hanson contacted me asking if I wanted to check out their makeup and nail products. I thought this was the perfect time for that, so I of course said yes.

I think it’s awesome that NYC has colors specific for what shade your eyes are called IndividualEyes. My eyes are blue and green and sometimes gray. I know it’s weird, but that’s how it is. The other day when I was trying the makeup, my eyes were kind of green so I tried out the green color palette.

Everything you will need is in the little box. your primer, illuminator, and the 4 shades to create the look you want. My favorite color is purple, so I was really happy to see that a shade of purple was in the mix.

This is how NYC suggests you apply the shadow:

1. Smooth primer over eye area to help prevent eye color from fading or creasing.
2. Sweep the lighter shade onto lid and the inner corner of eye.
3. Apply medium shade into crease.
4. Blend the two darkest shades into the outer corner of eye and along lower lash line.
5. Use the illuminator to add dramatic highlight to the upper brow bone.

They also have ones for blue eyes, and for all eye colors. The pricing is fantastic at about $4.99 each, I know I have paid more for less than what I got in the NYC pallet.
They also have what’s called eye dust. I love shadows that are in the form of a wand. They have great coverage and last for so long.

When I was younger, I never wore mascara. I do have to say that I have long dark eyelashes to begin with, so I didn’t feel the need. That was until I started wearing it regularly, now I feel odd if I don’t have any on. NYC has some great options in the mascara department from volume to curl to big and bold. They have it all and for some amazing prices.

I recommend checking out NYC the next time you are at the store in the makeup isles, and if you are like me that’s very often.

When I think of Sally Hansen, I think of nail polish. I wasn’t aware that they had more than that let alone all the nail art that they have to offer.

I was sent a bunch of boxes of the nail art kits. I’m not going to share the pics with you because that’s how bad my attempts were. I had fun trying so there is that. I know I will get better and also will probably be easier when i do it on Mya’s nails instead of my own.

They are amazing, they have glitter, jewels, beads, fringe and more. This would be a perfect gift for someone who loves doing their nail and is really creative and talented. Be prepared for it to get a little messy, and make sure you have something under the tubes so it doesn’t get everywhere and you can put it back if some spills.

Sally Hansen has gel nail color pens, stickers, and so much more. Their prices are amazing as well. I hope I get better and can show you guys how I have progressed (don’t hold your breath lol)
