It Will Be Okay by Lysa TerKeurst

So, my oldest little boy is highly gifted. Something you may or may not know about highly gifted children is they can be very extreme. Their emotions are from one end to the other, and sometimes, even though the understand at a much higher level, emotionally they are immature. This is very true of my son. His anxiety "of the week" is about growing up and how he wants to stay a kid forever. It is so hard to teach someone about faith, but I am doing my absolute best with it but thought I might could use a little help.

It Will Be Okay by Lysa TerKeurst is an awesome tool for teaching my little man about faith. This book focuses on a little seed and a fox. The two are best of friends and both are scared of what life has to bring and about change. This is a perfect message for my little man who is terrified of change. Even though he did cry when I was reading it, it was obvious that the message that God will always be there for you, and will get you through whatever struggles you may face, was really sinking in.

It is a beautifully written story that is touching to me as well as him and the illustrations are really nice as well. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a child scared of change.
