Peppermint, Lavender and Lemon Essential Oils

Most of our readers know that myself and Paige LOVE essential oils. We use them for just about anything. We joke around that it’s the new duct tape or windex as they fix everything. Anyway, I wanted to share with you a few new companies I am working with and what my favorite uses for oils are.

I think Lavender is my favorite oil so far. There are so many great ways to use it. Here are a few:

#1 Sleep

For my the number one use is to help my youngest sleep. I can tell when we forget. On those nights she seems to not sleep as well and wakes up a few times crying, so I try to not forget.

#2 Laundry

I just started doing this and am loving it. I just add a few drops into the liquid soap and do laundry as normal. Makes everything especially towels smell so good!!

#3 Pain
I get chronic headaches and also have chronic pain in my joints and legs. Using a blend of lavender and peppermint helps me.

For $24.50 you can get a 4oz bottle of Lavender Oil from Applejack Life on Amazon. This is a huge bottle and will last a very long time. I always tell my husband, a little goes a very long way in the essential oil world. I think AppleJack Life did a great job with this oil, and it
comes with a dropper which makes it easier to use and not risking pouring too much.

I love the smell of lemon. It just smells fresh. Before I started using essential oils, I would never have thought they could be used for so much.
#1 cleaning
Spraying it or diffusing it in the air will help take smells out and help disinfect at the same time. I just add a few drops to a water bottle and spray or I add a few drops to a bucket of water if cleaning the floor.

#2 Skin
Lemon is great for your skin and helps with overall energy.

Majestic Pure sells a 4oz bottle on Amazon for only $14.50. It’s very inexpensive but goes such a long way. If you have animals, this is great for using on the couch if they lay on the furniture.

Peppermint is my second favorite oil. I can’t say enough good things about it.

#1 Nausea
I suffer from extreme chronic nausea. Dr’s have no clue why. I’m on some very powerful medications to help me feel better. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t.  Having a little bit of peppermint oil to smell can help me sometimes, bot all the time but i’ll take what I can get.

#2 Pain
Like I said before for my headaches, i do a blend of peppermint and lavender. If I catch the headache right away there is a better chance that the oils can help me.

#3 anxiety
Sometimes peppermint can be used for anxiety. Just by smelling the oil you can help your body relax.

La Lune Naturals sells a large 4oz bottle on Amazon for $19.99. You also get a dropper as well. I love the droopers, especially when you are using it to make a blend or add to something. One thing that La Lune Naturals includes is their free ebook that has 20 recipes for headaches, depression and more. Well worth it in my opinion.

Please remember that all oils are a little different in how you can use them. Not all can be used for consumption. Also please use a carrier oil like coconut oil, baby oil when putting on your skin.
