Win a Piping Rock Essential Oil Prize Pack!

Essential Oils can be very expensive, and often times you lose quality of oils if you buy them at reduced prices. However, I have found one store that offers quality oils and affordable prices, and many of them come pre-blended so you do not have to add any carrier oils and can use these straight from the bottle! Piping Rock not only carries essential oils, but they also carry all of the products you might need for making your own oil blends. I received an assortment of oils from Piping Rock and I am happy with every one.

Chamomile (blended)-
This oil is known for being a relaxing oil and is great for helping sleep or to reduce anxieties. It is a great oil to add to your night time bath, or to spritz on your pillows at night. It is also an awesome one to apply to your wrists if you are feeling anxious throughout the day.I have added this to a blend with lavender and apply to the bottom of my boys feet at bedtime. I have noticed a significant difference in their sleep patterns with the use of oils at bedtime.

Ylang Ylang-
This is the only  non mixed oil in the lot I received, so you would need to add a carrier oil to this while using unless it is added to a bath. This is a wonderful oil for a woman in my opinion. It has a very sweet scent and is awesome in the bath. It has been known to be an aphrodisiac and promotes feelings of happiness. It is another awesome to help get rid of tension. I personally love this in a bath when I am feeling especially stressed out and just need some "me" time. Ylang Ylang, a face mask, bubbles and wine is my idea of a perfect evening!

Helichrysum (blended)- Having two very busy and very accident prone boys, this is an oil I was very excited to try! This oil is great for bumps and bruises so when I banged my shin I just had to try it out. I did notice a difference in pain and healing time, the Helichrysum definitely helped. It truly is the perfect oil to have in your first aid kit! It has also been said to help with pain of the joints. I have no real joint pain to speak of so I cannot attest to that personally, but I find it very believable considering how it helped with a bruise! The scent is also said to promote feelings of happiness, and I do find my mind a little cleared when I inhale the scent. It does have a pretty strong floral scent which makes it great to add to the shower for steam diffusion.

Purification Blend- This blend is the one I have used most frequently since I received them for review. It is made up of: Myrtle, Clove, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Lemongrass, Rosemary and Cinnamon Bark oils. I have added this to another "cold away" blend I made because I have been feeling like I am coming down with a cold since a few days before Christmas. I have also added this to my nightly bath every night for a week, and also combined 10 drops with a capful of vinegar in the glass spray bottle that I received from Piping Rock and have been spraying my pillows every morning when I get out of bed. I am trying my best to keep the germs away, and so far, since the cold has not yet hit my fully, it seems like the purification blend is helping. Ive also mixed the Purfication oil with vinegar and water to make a safe, all natural kitchen cleaner. Not only does it smell wonderful, it does a great job on my glass top stove, and cleans my kitchen table without stripping the stain. It also works as a great insect repellent and as an air freshener when mixed with water and sprayed.
