Farm Fresh To You, Health brought straight to your door

I love going to the farmer market, but don’t always have the time to, especially if they are only on one or two days a week. Recently I was asked to review a company called Farm Fresh To You. It’s a company that like the name, brings fresh food right to your door. Now, that I wasn’t going to turn away from.

Before you sign up, you need to make sure they deliver to your area. They are expanding, but for now it’s still limited to northern or southern California. Signing up is very easy, the fun part is picking out what size box you want and with what type of produce, how often and if you want it delivered to your home or office. You can do a classic CSA mix, fruits and veggies or customize it for your specific taste.

We decided on getting the mix of fruits and veggies, and we were not disappointed. The box costs $46, but I would have paid a lot more at the store for all of this, so it is a really great deal. We received grapefruit, apples, oranges, fennel, carrots, broccoli and so much more. I also love that Farm Fresh To You also included a few recipes in the box. You can also find more recipes on their site.

The recipe we made was the one they included, Pasta with Fennel, Kale & Lemon. We did leave out the kale though (personal taste). It turned out amazing and the instructions were so easy to follow. I know we will be making this again for sure.

I found that the fruits seemed to have more flavor than ones we would buy at the store. I’m sure that has to do with how fresh they are. They aren’t shipped from place to place before arriving at the store, then sitting there for awhile before you buy them.

Farm Fresh To You has a great referral system. Each time you recommend them to a friend, both you and that friend save money. After they sign up they get $10 off their first box, and once they receive that box you get a $25 credit to your account. So if you have enough friends or family signed up, you could get a free box.

I highly recommend that you check out Farm Fresh To You, for either yourself or even for family or friends. You could always send them as a gift.

  5. This sounds perfect for my picky raters, since you can customize it. My daughter loves fruit and some of the fruits bought at the store are yuck. Right down the street from us is a cherry stand but I have yet to find other fruit stands.

  8. Whenever possible, we choose items that locally grown. For years we planted a garden. It's getting to be too much for me to keep up with in the summer heat.

  13. This is a great idea. We have groups here in KY that let you buy a 'share' in a farmer's crop, so you get a percentage of the fresh produce of all types all Summer.

  15. Sounds like a great service! Due to health issues I can't always go shopping, so I would love to use a service like this if it was in Texas.

  16. I would love to try this! It is just so convenient. I hate grocery shopping and I am terrible at planning meals in advance. This would be perfect for someone like me.

  17. I'd like to try this. Fresh food always tastes better than store bought. Not only is the flavor lacking, I often bring fruit flies home. Even after washing the produce.

  21. I would try this. I belonged to a CSA in the past, but it was very out of my way to go to the pick-up location every week. Home delivery will make it attractive to many more people.

  26. I have heard of Farm Fresh to You in a blog monetizing site. I love the sound of this service. I don't think we would be able to use it here in Northern Wisconsin, or maybe we could. I will have to do some research on it. Thank you for the post!!
