Nutiva Superfood Sampler Pack

Nutrition is being talked about more and more these days, as it should be. Superfoods are one of things that I keep hearing about and how good they really are for us. So when Nutiva contacted me asking for me to try their Superfood Sampler Pack, there was no way I was saying no.

If you haven’t heard of or tried Nutiva yet, you are missing out. They are all about providing the best nutrition they can to you. “We found superfoods—nutrient-dense powerhouses that can also be grown and processed in a sustainable way. These are foods that are truly good for you and for the planet. They’re foods like hemp and coconut, chia and red palm. They’re organic, full of vital nutrition, easy to use and delicious additions to your diet.” You can tell that they take extra care in their products

Since my mom is very much into superfoods,I thought I would share with her, so I could get her thoughts as well. The Superfood Sampler Pack comes with the following:

  • Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (15 oz. glass jar)
  • Organic Unrefined Red Palm Oil (15 oz. glass jar)*
  • Organic Hempseed (4 oz. pouch)
  • Organic Chia Seed (6 oz. pouch)
  • Organic Shortening (15 oz. BPA-free tub)*
  • Organic Hemp Protein 15G (1.1 oz. packet)
  • Organic O'Coconut Hemp & Chia(0.5 oz.)
  • Superfood Recipe Booklet

Coconut oil is one thing that we use in this house more than we use essential oils (so that’s a lot). I’m really loving Nutiva’s coconut oil. We have been using it in place of  traditional vegetable oil and sometimes even butter. You can use coconut for more than just cooking. You can use for your hair, body scrubs, rashes etc. For my house having coconut oil is a must have, and Nutiva’s prices are very competitive.

Before trying the sampler pack, I had not tried Red Palm Oil. The first thing I tried it on was popcorn and it was so good. You do need to heat it up before you pour it on the butter. It had a flavor to it that is just plain good.

Protein is huge for me and my diet. I was really looking forward to trying Nutiva’s hemp protein. It was a little different from what I’m used to but it was still really good.

Benefits of hemp protein:
  • Plant-based protein
  • Made from raw hempseeds
  • Certified organic and non-GMO
  • Vegan
  • All 20 amino acids, including the 9 essential
  • Essential fatty acids (omega 3 & 6)
  • Good source of dietary fiber
  • and more!

This entire pack costs $42.99 and I think it very worth it. This would make for a perfect gift for anyone that love healthy food, for your self or even as a Mother’s Day gift. “You may not yet be familiar with the amazing nutrition and taste of red palm oil, but for over 5,000 years it has been a staple of indigenous cultures. Legend has it that this sacred food was revered for its healthful properties and entombed with the pharaohs of ancient Egypt for their enjoyment in the afterlife.”
