Start spring and summer off with a Lemon-Ade-Rita

I have never been much of a beer girl, even with growing up in Wisconsin (GASP!). I actually like tequila (maybe it’s my Hispanic heritage), who knows. I just know I like it. When Anheuser-Bush asked me to try their new Lemon-Ade-Rita, I wasn’t sure. I looked at it closer and saw that they claimed it tasted like a lemon margarita, so I decided to try it out.

Like, I said above, I’m not really a beer girl, so I wasn’t expecting much at all. I kind of hesitated with my first sip expecting there to be a strong beer quality. I was actually surprised that there wasn’t. Now it doesn’t taste exactly like a good old fashion margarita, BUT it’s not that far off, with only a hint of beer (to me anyway). I have to give props to Bud, for making me into “kinda” a beer liker (is that a word?).

Unlike regular cans of beer, Lemon-ade-rita’s come in 8oz cans instead of 12. For those counting calories and carbs, 1 can has 196 calories and 23.1 grams of carbs. It’s a little high on the carbs, but when you are having a drink, you are splurging anyway, so why not enjoy it. For the Alcohol content, it can vary (due to the natural process of brewing) from 6% to 8% by volume.

The Lemon-ade-rita, is just the newest of the Rita’s. Bud also has;  Lime-A-Rita, Mang-O-Rita, Raz-Ber-Rita, Straw-Ber-Rita and seasonal flavors Apple-Rita and Cran-Brr-Rita. I didn’t know about the Apple-Rita, so i’m going to have to try that once it comes out again.

Whenever drinking, please always do so responsibly!!!

  25. This is the first time I am hearing of this Bud Light Lemon-ade-rita or any of the other flavors. They remind me of wine coolers. I hope they are not as sweet. I have known friends to put a lemon or a lime in their beers. I like a good cold beer in the summer & the foam. On the pic above, I don't see any foam, probably because it is suppose to be like a "rita". I would like to try it- don't know which flavor though, but I really think I would miss all the foam!
