Pelican LED 3715 Photoluminescent Light Makes the Perfect Father's Day Gift!

Recently, my husband received an awesome flashlight called LED 3715 Photoluminescent Light for review from Pelican. This smaller, compact light is great to store in the house when your electricity goes out, or to use for projects. It does not take up much space at all so storage is easy to do.While my favorite thing is that it is not bulky and does not take up space, my hubby has found multiple uses for it, and has been amazed at the output from one little light. Below you can read his thoughts on it.

  • Secure clip for hands-free use
  • 4 mode battery level indicating button
  • Photoluminescent shroud (optional)
  • Tethered battery door allows for quick battery change
  • Locking wheel securely holds 4 AA batteries
  • 4 modes High/Low/Downcast/Flashing

The Pelican 3715 is a small, compact flashlight built for more than just household use. This flashlight packs a lot of power in a lightweight, but rugged frame. In my opinion, the Pelican 3715 is as strong as or stronger than the famous “Mag Light” used by the military and public service officials and a fraction of the weight and size. One simple button controls all settings on the unit. There are three levels of light intensity plus an emergency flash feature. Built within the power button are three smaller status lights which indicate remaining battery strength. The flashlight runs on 4 AA batteries. I even used cheap store brand batteries and was very impressed by the power this light put out. After about 30 minutes of continuous use (I was replacing a finicky faucet,) and using store brand batteries, battery power only decreased by one 1/3 (as indicated by the battery status lights).  Features which make this flashlight unique and attractive include a belt clip for outdoor and travel use and separate battery / light bulb compartment. In addition, the flat base allows the light to stand and eliminates the need for somebody else to hold the light while you work.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this light! It is compact, but totally effective and really lights up the entire work area!

  1. LOVE this idea for Father's Day! I have the BIGGEST lantern, and every time it storms, I have to drag it out and drag it back when the storm is over...LOL! These light weight babies look great to store in my kitchen drawers for when it storms, and I won't have to worry about batteries as much as regular flashlights!

  2. Great idea gift for Father's Day. We are always searching for the flash lights when the power goes out. I like that this glows in the dark and that there are 4 different modes with it.
