Buy and sell clothes for great prices with My Kid’s Threads

I love clothes, my girls love clothes. Who doesn’t just love clothes? The bad part about clothes is that they can be so expensive. I try to get clothes on sale especially for my girls since well, they only wear it for a little while then grow out of it. Most of the time we don’t get enough wear out an an outfit to justify the cost. I recently came across a great site called My Kid’s Threads. It’s a children’s designer consignment shop.

Selling to My Kid’s Threads couldn’t be easier. They not only tell you exactly what they take and don’t take but they will send you a mailer bag so you can just fill and mail back to them. If they accept the clothes they will send you up to 50% of the sale price if you chose to be paid Kid's Bucks (store credit to shop online) or 40% in the form of check, PayPay or donation to a charity.  Of course they will let you know what was accepted. You can also track your bags under your account.

If you want the items that are not accepted back you do need to purchase what is called Return Shield. “Return Shield costs $12.99 and must be selected and paid for before a bag enters Active status. We recommend that you purchase return shield at the same time you request a bag. Once a bag is protected by Return Shield, any items that are not accepted to be consigned will be returned to you at no extra charge.

While we make every effort to sell all items accepted for consignment, unfortunately we are unable to return items that do not sell during the consignment period. Those items will be donated to our charity partners.” You can also decide if you want to give a percentage of your sales to charity. My Kid’s Threads will even send you a tax receipt.

Here is a partial list of the brands they like:

  • Oilily
  • Catimini
  • Poesia
  • Stella McCartney
  • Little Marc Jacobs
  • Burberry, Haute Baby
  • Christian Dior,
  • DKNY
  • Matilda Jane

Since I have girls, I was looking at their toddler items and oh my goodness they are so cute. Nicole Miller has always been one of my favorite grands. They have a dress and leggings set new WITH TAGS for only $23.99. They have great prices, so even if you don’t want to sell clothes you can still go on and buy them.

  3. I am definitely going to have to check this out! A relative just gave my 4 yr old 4 of the big black garbage bags full of clothes & oh my, he could never ever wear all the clothes. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the clothes were but what kids needs 40 pairs of pants, lol. I might as well try to earn a little money too. Thanks for the info :)
