Party Like it's Your Birthday at Chuck E Cheese

I have two children, one is 12 and the other 3, so I have had my share of birthday parties. I have done ones inside the house, outside the house and then on location at the park, roller rink etc. While having a party at your house is nice and convenient for a location, you do have to spend so much time cleaning, buying groceries, cooking (or planning delivery), then of course entertaining and setting everything up. I love location parties, as all you have to do is show up. They help you with everything. I recently had the chance to have a party for my three year old daughter at Chuck E Cheese. I want to disclose that it was not her real birthday, but we did “party like it’s your birthday”.

Booking a party online is super easy and really only takes a few minutes. It takes you from selecting your location, how many kids etc. At every step they show you how much it will be and on the right side they keep a running total. This way there are no surprises at the end at how much and then if it’s too high you have to go back and edit. You can add your cake, appetizers, pinatas and pretty much anything else you want to your package. Another great feature is that you don’t have to pay for it online if you don’t want to. If you don’t, then just select pay in store. Booking online is not only easy, but you get some perks too. Chuck E Cheese throws in extra tokens for the kids.

For our party, we kept it very simple with just a couple of Fallon’s friends. It was small but it was still a lot of fun at that same time. This was also Fallon’s first party at Chuck E Cheese, so I wasn’t sure how she would do when she met the giant mouse. When they were almost done eating the pizza, he came out to sing happy birthday and to dance with the kids. I was happy and surprised that she did really well. She actually walked up to him and gave him a high five. All the kids loved him and even the dads wanted in on the picture taking.

Once everyone was full on pizza, pop and cake it was on to playing games. With extra tokens the kids were able to play even more games. They pretty much played until they dropped and then they got a second wind and the little ones played in the tunnels. Once they had pretty much all their energy gone it was time to redeem the tickets from the games for some fun treats and prizes. Like most game centers and tickets you use them up really fast on candy or a stuffed animal.

Overall the kids had a ton of fun, like the food and loved the games. I would recommend going when they open up if you don't want such a busy crowd. Go and check out where the closest Chuck E Cheese is to you and reserve your party. I bet your kids and their friends will love it.

I also want to give a big thank you to the friends of ours that met us for the fun party.

  3. Aw....I love Chuck E Cheese. Such a fun place. My kids are getting a little too old for it which makes me sad. I think I should take my tween very soon before she's too old for it like her teenager brothers are.
