  1. My entire house during the winter months! I live in an old house which is over 120 years old! During the winter, it stays so cold in the house and I have to wear double layers or I'm freezing! We all walk around and if we touch one another or different type surfaces (even the dogs!) we get a shock! Our house is so dry during the winter. We had a humidifier at one time, however, the filters cost way too much and we did replace them several times, but then the humidifier quit on us! It just wouldn't run anymore and we haven't replaced it! Thanks so much for asking! Michele :)

  3. We heat our house with wood. So our whole house is very dry during the winter months. We have never owned a humidifier, it would be interesting to see how well it would work for us.

  6. I don't know what causes the dryness, but we could really use some humidity because we have a very dry houses. It messes with our sinus's and we all suffer from allergies and even nose bleeds!

  8. Need a humidifier for my sons' room. Every time there is a shift in the weather, however slight, they start coughing and get phlegmy.

  9. The dry air makes it even harder for me to breathe, especially when I am trying to sleep. I have asthma and severe allergies. It is just impossible to raise the humidity in here--the whole house--without a humidifier in cooler weather, really about half the yr. (Oct. - Apr.). Our old one got a hole in it and had to be thrown out. We haven't been able to replace it yet this yr.
