Picture frames take up a lot of room, and when you don’t have space it can be a problem. NixPlay has a digital frame that solves all those problems. The Seed is a WiFi Cloud based system and all you need is a shelf, and Wifi. With kids moving into dorm rooms this month, this is perfect for them.
I have had a digital frame before that took an SD card, but this is much easier and in my opinion better. You do have to keep it plugged in, as it doesn’t have a battery. Also you have to use the adapter that is included. Even though it is a USB port, it doesn’t work with other ones (I tried just to test it). As soon as you plug it in for the first time it will boot up and ask you to put the code into your account. This will connect the frame to your account and allow you to add pictures.
Adding pictures is very easy as well. If you want to do it on your laptop you can, or if you are on the go, download their app and you can add from there. One of the features I love is that this frame allows you to connect to your social media accounts and upload pictures directly from there. This saves so much time as you don’t have to take from there, download to your own computer and then upload to the frame. You can even give friends restricted access to add photos to your frame. This comes in handy with groups as people take different pictures. Then you don’t have to have them send to you, they can add them on their own.
NixPlay also includes little remote that will help you pick different albums or do whatever you want with the frame. This makes it so much easier than taking the frame down from a shelf or wherever you have it sitting.
The NixPlay Seed comes in a 7 inch, 8 inch or a 10 inch to choose from along with a bunch of other colors. I have the 10 in frame and it’s perfect size sitting on the shelf in our living room.
You can have more than one album on the frame and if you want to switch to see that you can. Even from the app, you can choose which album to add too. The frame has so many customizations where you can set it to play during certain hours, the brightness and of course how you want the transition to go between each picture.
