Bayer Aleve Direct Therapy Device

Both my daughter and I have back pain. I have tried various TENS units in the past to help alleviate my back pain and pain in other areas of my body. So when Bayer asked me to take a look at Bayer Aleve Direct Therapy Device I couldn’t say no.

Before I get started I really want to talk about what a TENS unit is and what it does. “TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) is a therapy that uses electrical stimulation to relieve pain. There are two clinical theories of how TENS can relieve pain: by blocking the transmission of pain, and by stimulating endorphins, the body’s natural pain-reducing chemicals. Aleve Direct Therapy uses patented 3-stage waveform technology to incorporate both clinical theories of TENS to provide pain relief.”

Like I said before, I have tried many different units before. What I like about the Bayer Aleve Direct Therapy Device is that there aren’t a lot of extra parts. It’s a very simple design.

1. Follow the directions on how to apply the gel pads

2. Put on your body

3. Turn on unit using the remote

4. Use remote to adjust the strength

5. When done put plastic on the gel pads to use for next time.

This TENS unit is designed to be used in 30 minute increments (3 stages) and till shut off on its own.

Stage 1: 5 MINS High-frequency stimulation (sometimes described as a strong tingling sensation) can initiate the feeling of pain relief by suppressing the transmission of pain signals from nerves. Find your preferred intensity level with the wireless remote control.

Stage 2: 20 MINS Low-frequency stimulation in this stage feels like a gentle tapping sensation. This stimulates an increased endorphin release to reduce the sensitivity to pain beyond the 30-minute session.

Stage 3: Like stage 1, this high-frequency stimulation helps maintain the feeling of pain relief to complete the session.

I love how Bayer made this super easy to use. The only thing I would change, If I could would be how many times you can use the gel pads. Currently you can reuse them 2-5 times. Besides that, I absolutely love this TENS unit. It really does help my back, but even more important, it helped my daughter's back pain. I don't mind the extra cost if it helps.

You can buy the unit and the additional gel pads at stores like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart and more. If you suffer from muscle pain, I highly recommend you check this out. It’s a noninvasive, no medication option that may help.
