Women’s Choice Award for 2017 Best Children’s Hospitals

October 3rd is National Child Health Day. What better way to celebrate than by honoring those hospitals that excel in healing children and saving lives every day? If you haven’t already heard, Women’s Choice Award is about to launch an exciting new program that will do just that! The organization has deemed October 3rd the inaugural launch date of the Women’s Choice Award for 2017 Best Children’s Hospitals. The announcement will appear nationally, including in USA Today!

As a mother myself, it is important to me that my children always receive the best care – from the medicine they take to the doctors they see. Women’s Choice Award works to connect women with the best of everything from pet care to financial services, helping to raise the standard of what is expected from a variety of businesses and organizations. Now, with its new initiative, mothers can find the best hospitals for their children and more. In the organization’s own words: “As part of our commitment to empower moms we offer a series of patient education materials on children’s health through our partner hospitals. Partner hospitals are those who carry the Women’s Choice Award seal symbolizing their commitment to empower women to make smart healthcare choices.”

Even with useful tools like Google, finding exactly the right goods and services you want isn’t always easy. There are so many competitors in every field and not everyone has the time to sift through the information. Obviously this can be a big problem when it comes to something important like finding the right hospital for your injured or sick children. That’s why Women’s Choice Award can really come in handy. With this organization, you are guaranteed to find only the best of the best.

Women’s Choice Award received surveys from 100 children's hospitals in order to determine those with the highest performance. The goal was of course to award hospitals that create the greatest impact in health, well-being, and healing while focusing on the “female experience”. You can learn more about the methodology behind this award system by visiting Women’s Choice Award’s website

Women’s Choice Award was founded by Delia Passi, mother of three and the former publisher of Working Mother as well as Working Woman magazines. She has become an authority in the women’s market thanks to her tireless work and her commitment to empowering females everywhere. Women’s Choice Award is really helping to improve lives, and as a mother it feels good knowing that my information comes from a trustworthy source.

I am very excited about the launch of the Woman’s Choice Award for 2017 Best Children’s Hospitals. I think this could really make a difference for mothers all over the country and I look forward to seeing the results. I hope you will join me in celebrating National Child Health Day and the launch of this exciting award program on October 3rd by watching for the winners and sharing the information with your friends – it could help someone!

  4. We should all strive to push for a site to be found in every major city in every state. We have one in NC and my daughter in law had to deliver there with our grandson since ultrasounds showed he only had one kidney. They gave wonderful care and he's doing great now at age 4. In fact, this past weekend, they announced they were pregnant again and would be delivering once again there if necessary. I do wish that there were more sites throughout the state.

  6. This sounds like a wonderful resource for women, but this could also be used as a tool to determine where women's and children's healthcare is suffering the most and striving to better it in a timely fashion.

  8. We've been privileged to live near Pittsburgh Children's Hospital since our kids were small. Despite this the one time we needed emergency help with one of our kids our pediatrician directed us to a closer hospital with a NICU. Children's hospitals are great, but local hospitals are better for most needs.

  9. That is a great concept and I look forward to seeing if our local children's hospital is on their list.

    1. Hi Sophia - thank you so much for your comment! As of right now, our Best Hospitals are focused on hospitals in the USA. The reason being that in arriving at our award determinations, we use the most recent publicly available information from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as accreditation information from appropriate sources within the USA.

We are delighted that you are finding our site to be a great resource. We are aware of how important it is to search by city and are working on including this feature on our site.
