Nature’s Recipe Dog Food Now at Walmart

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Nature’s Recipe®. The opinions and text are all mine.

I love my fur babies, especially my dog House. He’s a big boy, there is no doubt about it. Finding a food that is perfect for him can be hard. He seems to get bored with foods if we use them too long. We try to not buy huge bags for that reason. Recently we tried Nature’s Recipe Dog Food and so far, it has been a hit.

Where can you find this dog food? It’s new and now available at one of the biggest big box stores- Walmart! You no longer have to go to a fancy specialty pet store for it. Don’t get me wrong, I love some of the specialty stores, but there are times when I don’t have time to run there and am already at Walmart.

If your dog is a little picky, Nature’s Recipe has many options and flavors that you can chose from. With so many, I’m sure you can find something your pup will like. Flavors include the following:
●     SMALL BREED GRAIN FREE CHICKEN DRY DOG 4LB
●     GRAIN FREE SALMON DRY DOG 4LB
●     GRAIN FREE CHICKEN DRY DOG 4LB
●     SMALL BITES CHICKEN/RICE DRY DOG 4.5LB
●     GRAIN FREE PUPPY CHICKEN DRY DOG 4LB
●     ADULT CHICKEN MEAL/RICE DRY DOG 4.5LB
●     HEALTHY SKIN VENISON DRY DOG 4.5LB
●     ADULT LAMB MEAL/RICE DRY DOG 4.5LB
●     NATURE'S RECIPE GRAIN FREE CHKN/DUCK WET DOG 2.75OZ
●     NATURE'S RECIPE CHKN&WLD SLMN WET DOG 2.75OZ
●     NATURE'S RECIPE GRAIN FREE CHKN RECIPE WET DOG 2.75OZ

House loves all things chicken, so even though he’s a big boy, I still got the small breed just to try it out at first. I wasn’t sure if it was just because it was a new food, or what, but House ate this up quick. He loves it and each bowl I gave him after that was the same way. So, for us, this is a winner, and I really do love that they come in smaller bags. That way the food doesn’t go stale like can happen with the huge bags.

The great thing about Nature’s Recipe, is that they really care about what goes into the food. They don’t just think, oh this is a dog, it doesn’t matter. They know that pet owners usually treat their pets like children. I care what my human babies eat, and I care about what my fur babies eat.
Nature’s Recipe makes sure of the following:
High-quality protein
No corn or wheat
No artificial flavors or preservatives
No poultry by-product meal
To me, it’s very important that they don’t use the artificial flavors or preservatives. They also don’t use fillers like corn or wheat.
Ingredients for the Chicken, Sweet Potato & Pumpkin are easy to read and the first ingredient is chicken! That’s a great sign.

Like I said before, there are many options to choose from and something for every pup’s taste buds. Next time you are at Walmart, I would head over to the pet section and check these out. House has loved Nature’s Recipe, and who knows, yours may too.

  7. Looking at the ingredients in the grain-free chicken dry food, I'm impressed. Ten years ago, I had no idea what was in the food I fed my dogs. I avoided the cheapest brands, but figured the major brands, who all advertised "complete nutrition" would be good for my dogs. I've since found out just where some of the ingredients come from and will no longer feed those to my dogs. Anything that says just "meat" or "animal fat" could contain anything, including euthanized animals from shelters. By-products, like those from chicken, can contain feathers, beaks, and other parts I really don't want to feed my dogs. Many of the cheap brands use fillers like wheat and corn, which are not very nutritious for dogs, and are more likely to cause allergies. From what I'm seeing, I'll have to check this brand out. I think my dogs would like it.

  9. Nature's Recipe has been a long time part of our family (furry ones) diet. Very good to hear that it is expanding further now to stores like Walmart, as the all natural products are well needed to be a regular form of food for animals, without by-products, etc.

  10. This has all the right ingredients for a healthy and tasty food for your puppy or adult dog. I definitely try to avoid food with "fillers" in them. My little guy isn't quite at 4 lbs. yet, but when he reaches it I will keep this brand in mind.

  11. The picture on the bag sure looks good. If the food is that good it is indeed great for your dog.

  12. I haven tried this yet. I am trying to go more grain free now with all of our animals. Our dog has diabetes so high protein is key, many times I have to make his food. I will have to check this brand out.
