#PrinceofPeace is the Easter campaign from Mormon.com. I’m not Mormon personally, but I have a lot of friends that are, and sharing is my business, so I wanted to share this great campaign with you.
So, my oldest daughter recently had surgery. Nothing major, but only her second time under general so there was some anxiety. I was raised Christian and taught to pray, so pray we did. We prayed for a good outcome from the surgery. The surgery ended and the Dr came out to talk to me. It wasn’t bad news, but wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. He was worried about some damage to some nerves that if it happened would affect Mya playing sports. We wouldn’t know until she woke up and the numbing meds wore off. After the Dr walked away, once again I prayed. Mya is a great basketball player, and at 14 basketball is one of the things she loves the most.
I know some don’t believe in prayer, but my family and I do. Don’t get me wrong, I also trust the skill of the Dr. Mathew 21:22 says “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Some of the meds started wearing off and thankfully no numbness in her palm, which indicated we were in the clear. To me, my family and close friends, it was an answer to prayers.
Besides Prayer there are 7 other core principles that are apart of #PrinceOfPeace. LDS Church believes that these will help you get peace in your life and draw you closer to Christ. These principles are:
- April 11- Forgiveness
- April 12- Repentance
- April 13- Gratitude
- April 14- Scripture
- April 15- Prayer
- April 16- Hope
For me praying isn’t just for me but also for others in my life. I pray for thanks and if I need guidance in my life. It depends on what is going on in my life and in the life of people I know.

ReplyDeletePraying is quite powerful. It's not just a way to ask for guidance, but to thank God for all your blessing as well. For many, it's a source of strength and a way to let out what they feel and what their worries are.

I am so happy to read this post. I was hoping someone would write about the true meaning of Easter. Thank you for doing that. We are Catholics and we pray a lot. Prayer can do miraculous things. Just open your heart and let Jesus come in. That alone is a comforting thought that we are loved.
