Lil' Bums Cloth Diapers

I have found another wonderful cloth diaper company! I love stumbling across companies that I have never heard of before.  Usually I find some awesome products that I end up loving. This was the case with Lil Bums.  Sometimes I am iffy to try cloth diapers that I haven't heard a lot about, because of the quality issue.  But when I received a diaper from Lil Bums, I was so impressed with this diaper!

The diaper I received was a gender neutral print and made with very soft minky material.  I love the feel of this diaper.  You can feel the quality in the materials used. I have bought some diapers before that just had a cheap feel, and it annoyed me.  I love how soft not only the outside of this diaper is, but also the inside. Because that is going closest to my baby, and I want him to feel comfy in his diapers.  I cannot imagine anything worse than an itchy uncomfortable diaper on a baby.

This diaper is a one sized pocket diaper.  I used pockets with my youngest for a long time and I love them.  I love how easy they are to change and care for.  I find them to be the perfect type of diaper for dads, grandparents or caregivers to use.  I also love one sized diapers because I get a longer life out of them.  I tend to have pretty chunky babies, so sized diapers can end up costing me quite a bit in the long run.  I would much rather stock up on one sized diapers, like Lil Bums, to carry me through the changes in sizes.

These diapers are also priced very reasonably.  I cannot seem to bring myself to pay a ton of money for diapers.  These diapers retail for $12 each, and worth every penny!  These pocket diapers come with a diaper and 2 inserts. One insert is microfiber and one is organically grown bamboo cotton.  Both of these inserts are so soft and look to be trim fitting.  I have had some inserts that are very bulky and make the diaper itself too bulky.  This diaper looks like it will fit wonderfully under clothes.

There are a few options of how to use this diaper.  You can use the pocket and stuff one of the inserts in it, or you can simply lay the diaper flat and lay the insert on top of the diaper.  Or you can do both to get the most absorbency for times like night time and nap time.  I always had to put extra inserts for bedtime with my kiddo.  You can also use disposable liners to keep your diaper from getting too stained. These are great for when you think that your baby is going to have a messy diaper. you can just flush them down and it makes clean up much easier to deal with.  You just lay the disposable liner on the inside of the diaper after stuffing or lying an insert down and your good to go!

These diapers are also very easy to wash and care for. This has to be one of my favorite aspects of cloth diapers.  I have ruined a few fitteds by throwing them in the dryer by accident.  These can be washed in the washer with cold soak/rinse and then tumbled dry on low.  They come out feeling amazingly soft too!

Lil Bums offers a few different starter pack kits to get you going on your cloth diapering journey.  I love starter kits because if your new to cloth diapers, the choices can be overwhelming.  The entry level kit is a wonderful value at $99! You get 6 Lil Bums diapers, 6 organic cotton inserts, 6 microfiber inserts, 1 large hamper wet bag, and 1 travel wet bag! This is such a wonderful starter pack to get! There are a couple more options to choose from as well!
