Aveda Naturally Straight

Every once in a while I need to try out a new shampoo. My hair just gets overly used to a product and it doesn’t look as good. With the help of SheSpeaks I was able to try out Aveda and their Naturally Straight line.

The first step is to use the shampoo and conditioner like normal. Ok, I can handle that. Some shampoos I have used have tons of scents in them. While I do like those, every once in a while i do like something without a fruity smell. The Aveda Shampoo and Conditioner was just what I was looking for. It smells so good, without being overpowering. My 11 year old used it and was like, oh I like that, you need to buy more of that.

Step 2 is to apply the style prep smoother to my damp hair. Tip is that you don’t put it on the roots, but instead from the middle to the ends.

Step 3 is to apply a very little bit of the Naturally Straight one section at a time.

Step 4 is to blow dry your hair and use a flat iron if you want/need to.

In reality i’m always doing step for when it comes to blow drying my hair. If i let it air dry, well lets just say it doesn’t look as good. If it’s super humid out then I will flat iron, but other than that I leave the flat iron alone. Step 2 and three really only take a couple of minutes and are super easy so it’s not really adding much time to my “hair schedule”.

I love the way the products make my hair feel and it doesn’t feel super oily at the end of the day. The more you use the naturally straight the easier it becomes and the less your hair will really need it.

Now picture time (yikes, I didn’t plan this out very well). I’m having surgery in a few hours so please don’t look at the lack of makeup and super old shirt. At least my hair will look decent for the dr’s (because we all know that’s what they will be paying attention to).

Price wise, the Aveda system is pricey, but (isn’t there always a but) it is worth every penny in my opinion. Look at their location finder to see if anyone sells it near you.
