Give Lazy Turtle Clothes and Save Turtles at the same time

I usually buy my kids some type of clothing item for Christmas. Living back in the Midwest has its challenges. I can’t buy the outfits like I did when we were living in the southwest. At least not in the wintertime. Fallon’s 7th birthday party was themed around pet adoption, so she has a soft spot for animals. When Lazy Turtle contacted me, I thought this was a great way for me to expand on that theme. You see Lazy Turtle isn’t just clothes, they actually give a portion of their proceeds to help Sea Turtles.

Litter Robot III Open Air Review and Giveaway

If you have even one cat you know how daunting it can be to clean the little box. In my house it’s become a chore for my oldest daughter. So when I told her we were getting the Litter Robot she was excited (saves her work). I was excited as well, as I love electronic and anything that makes life easier.

Nature’s Recipe Dog Food Now at Walmart

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Nature’s Recipe®. The opinions and text are all mine.

I love my fur babies, especially my dog House. He’s a big boy, there is no doubt about it. Finding a food that is perfect for him can be hard. He seems to get bored with foods if we use them too long. We try to not buy huge bags for that reason. Recently we tried Nature’s Recipe Dog Food and so far, it has been a hit.

Make Every Moment Count

Dogs are meant to live big, joyous lives—full of little moments that count every single day. From chasing after birds around the backyard, to jumping on your lap when you come home from a long day at work, in a dog's life, it's the small moments that count.

Dogit Deluxe Soft Dog Crate- Perfect for Travel

My dog House loves his create. It’s his “safe place”. So when we travel and he goes to the sitter it makes it hard to take with. Recently Hagen sent us their Dogit Deluxe Soft Dog Crate. This has been a lifesaver for us as his normal one isn’t as easy to take down.

Monitor your Pets with VimTag P1 Smart Cloud IP Camera

My dog House will get into trouble the second he’s given an opportunity. The garbage is one of his biggest things. He loves to tip it over, he’s smart though. He waits until we are gone to do it. I was recently sent the Vimtag P1 Smart Cloud IP Camera so I can spy (I mean check on him) when I’m not home.

Pup-peroni has our pup saying 'woof yeah' this International Bacon Day!

Is there any better feeling than sharing a moment of pure happiness with your pooch? Literally nothing makes me happier than seeing our dog's tail wagging when he gets a taste of his favorite treats - I feel like I'm just as excited as he is! So when I saw that International Bacon Day was coming up on the calendar, I wanted to find a way to celebrate one of my favorite foods (who doesn't love bacon, am I right??) with my favorite four-legged friend.

I Need Your Help: Spread Awareness About National Guide Dog Month This September

Have you ever seen a visually impaired person in public and didn't know how to react, or felt awkward? Have you ever wondered what it's like to 'see' through the eyes of their guide dog? I know I have.

Find out what your Mixed Breed is with Wisdom Panel

Tracking Pixel
This was sponsored by Wisdom Panel.

I always had a ton of pets when I was growing up. There were always a few cats and dogs in our house at any given time. When my daughter was little, she started to bug us about getting a dog. So in 2011 and after much begging from her and then I helped with begging, we went to the shelter and picked out a dog. We didn’t get the smallest dog, nor the biggest, but the quietest one there. We took him home and named him House (like the TV show). The shelter told us he was Husky/Chow Chow/Golden Retriever. We could see the Husky, but wasn’t sure about the other two, but went with it. Fast forward to a few months ago, and I was sent a Wisdom Panel® Canine DNA Test(s).

Cats are Loving Purina Pro Plan

I remember when we got our oldest cat Alexander Todd (a 5 year old named him). We adopted him as a kitten from the shelter in 2009. He was such a tiny little furball. We adopted our other cat Vin Diesel (the shelter named him diesel and I added the Vin lol) in 2013. So they have been part of our family for awhile now. As most pet owners, we try to feed them the best food possible. So when I learned about Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend I really wanted to try it out.

How to "Sleep Like a Kitty" this winter

If you ask me, there's one thing in the world that there's just too little of, and it's not love. I'm talking about
S-L-E-E-P. I'm always trying to get more of it and make the most out of what little time I do get.

So I had a thought... why not ask someone who's truly an expert on the subject; someone who spends more time snoozing than most of us spend at work? I'm talking, of course, about Morris the Cat.

For those of you who don't know him – or who've let sleep deprivation cloud your memory – Morris is the iconic spokescat for 9Lives cat food and has starred in over 50 commercials. When he's not in front of the camera or chowing down on 9Lives, you can bet he's napping in his trailer, ahem carrying case.

He's taken time out of his busy schedule to answer some reader questions about the very im-purr-tant issue of sleep. What's more, he's offering fans the chance to win a Morris-shaped, human-sized plush bed AND a year's supply of 9Lives cat food. Just go to his Live Well & Prospurr website to enter.

Move Over Oscars, This Year's Award Season Has Gone to the... Cats

I have two cats (Vin Diesel, and Alexander Todd), and they are so entertaining. I always love watching fun cat videos on youtube.

The Meow Mix Acatemy has voted and the results are in: The winner of the 2015 Internet is... Cats. From Reddit posts to Buzzfeed lists, it's im-paw-sible to scroll through your news feed without a cat pouncing its way into your heart.

Ear Care for Dogs from Bayer® ExpertCareTM

This post is sponsored by Bayer® ExpertCareTM and the BlogPaws Influencer Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Bayer ExpertCare products but Top Notch Material only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Bayer ExpertCare is not responsible for the content of this  article.

My dog House is a big boy, like 110 pounds big. He can look intimidating but he really is a gentle dog, and one of my babies. So when he started scratching his ears alot and whimpering, I knew something was really wrong and needed to help him. If I need to take my pets to the vet I do, but I try to do things at home first just in case I can help them (we all know how traumatizing the vet’s office can be for animals). So I went down to PetSmart and asked what I should try. They suggested Bayer® ExpertCareTM for dogs. I should have thought of that since I have used their products before and loved them.

Paw-some ways to include pups in the holidays (and find out which states have the merriest dogs!)

Happy Howlidays!
I love the holiday season — the cold weather, the yummy food, and of course, all of the festivities! You know who else loves them too? My dog House, I'm thinking it may be because of all the extra lovin' and gifts he gets from the family.

How Cat Ear Rinse helped my Cats #BayerExpertCare

Ever since we moved from Wisconsin to Arizona, my two cats Vin Diesel and Alexander Todd have been getting out of the house more and more. They pretty much sneak out when we let House the dog out. Since then we have been having an issue with both their ears. Luckily Petsmart carries Bayer® ExpertCareTM makes a Cat Ear Rinse (Thank goodness).

Paw It Forward from Morris the Cat and 9Lives

Hey Top Notch Material readers! Morris the Cat, from 9Lives cat food, here. (You may have thought that a cat's only computer skills involve laying on the keyboard while others are trying to use it, but in fact, we are very tech savvy.)
