Saje Natural Wellness Pocket Farmacy

If you have been around here much at all, you know Katrina and I love our oils. We are somewhat religious about our oil usage, and take them everywhere with us. So when I heard about Saje Natural Wellness pocket farmacy, I know I had to give it a try, and toko it with my on vacation to NJ this year.

"A must-have natural farmacy for every day, including five of our best selling therapeutic remedy roll-ons - Peppermint Halo, Stress Release, Pain Release, Immune, and Eater's Digest."

Within minutes of arriving on vacation we were using the immune remedy. Even though this is for symptoms of a cold, I know it has some great germ fighting oils in it, so when my son fell and scrapped his knee, I put a drop of this on the band-aid before I applied it to knee to keep him from getting an infection. We also The applied a little of this to the bottom of our feet before boarding the plane to combat some of that dreaded recycled air. The peppermint halo helps me in so many ways. If I am feeling a little sick to my stomach, the smell of this helps...if I am hungry while trying to watch what I eat, the smell of this decreases my appetite, but my favorite way to use it is applying it to my temples when a headache is coming on! Its so effective at getting rid of my headache. The eater's digest is perfect on vacation when the littles eat too much junk, and it is just what doctor mommy ordered to rub on their bloated bellies. Of course, being around family causes stress, not to mention our own three children, so the stress release was a must and made me feel calm and more relaxed as my son was kicking the chair in front of him! Sorry guy sitting there, but mommy was relaxing! My hubby used a lot of the pain release because he has a Achilles Tendon injury and we did a lot of walking. This helped him so much!!

Must Have Diaper Bag Essentials for a Busy Mom on the Go! 25% off Green Goo

If you have been reading this blog for any time at all, you know even though we are medical professionals in this family, my husband and I much prefer to use more natural "medicines" than pharmaceuticals if we can help it. I recently received a Everyday Travel Pack from Sierra Sage. This pack comes with the Green Goo product line that is perfect to throw in your diaper bag for everyday bump, scrapes, bites or even just dry skin.

I have two boys ages 8 and 2, and an infant daughter so this kit is a Godsend for us. The first aid balm is great for pretty much everything and is the one tin that is in my diaper bag. I have found that it work wonderful for diaper rashes, and is a great barrier cream for when my baby is looking just a little red and I want to prevent diaper rashes. It has taken away the itch and sting of bug bites and is great to put on scratches until I can get home and properly disinfect them. The dry skin balm is great for that winter dry and scratchy skin, and for other uncomfortable skin conditions that plague you or your little ones likes psoriasis and eczema. The skin repair is best for burns, sunburns, discolorations or puffiness to your skin. It is a GREAT summertime diaper bag essential! The lip balms are really hydrating, and not sticky at all. They have a great flavor as well.

Win "Pure Bliss" Essential Oil from Kokokahn!

Its pretty obvious if you have hung around here any time at all, that we are essential oil fanatics. I use oils for everything! I use them to clean, as part of my first aid kit, for medical care, for anxiety, and depression. We even use oils for my Moms husbands PTSD from Vietnam. Essential Oils are something that I swear by, and use religiously, and I have found a new brand to add to my favorites!

One thing I can definitely tell you is not all essential oils are made the same, and some just seem diluted or they do not smell "fresh." That is not the case with Kokokahn. Not only are these oils pure, they also smell very fresh and definitely give therapeutic results for my family and I.I received three oils from Kokokahn and it is hard to tell you which is my favorite!! I just love them all.

Clean No.5: There is an awesome recipe on the website that lists 40 drops of Clean No. 5, two tablespoons of vinegar and 16oz of water in a spray bottle for cleaning.  Not only does it smell wonderful, it does a great job on my glass top stove, and cleans my kitchen table without stripping the finish. It also works as a great insect repellent and as an air freshener when mixed with water and sprayed.Seriously though, my kitchen counters have never looked so clean, and I love that I am using all natural ingredients that are safe for my children and chemical free.I went on a cleaning frenzy with this and even got my bedroom door. I do not know how I have overlooked that door for so long. Perhaps because it is usually open, but it was so dirty! I sprayed Clean No.5 on this, let it sit about 5 minutes and just wiped off. I promise you, the door is sparkly white now, and before it was smeared with everything and even had marker on it!

Pure Bliss: As a busy Mom of two boy, I often feel pretty stressed out. Who doesn't feel that way from time to time, right?  Well now I have a way to combat that, without putting myself to sleep. Pure Bliss is awesome for those busy days, where I just need to chill out and not lose my cool. I have another "calming" blend but it puts me to sleep, but not Pure Bliss. Kokokahn's Pure Bliss Essential Oil Blend is a beautiful blend of blue tansy, orange, chamomile, lavender and sweet marjoram help me relax before I start yelling at my boys, and puts me in a happier mood all around. According to Kokokahn's site, this oil is a great one for pregnancy and any days you might be feeling stressed out.

Cutting Back on Chemicals where we can with Little Twig and Eco-Me!

I am sure that if you have read this blog for any time at all, you know that we all prefer natural options in our cleaning and personal care products. This is especially true for me because we lived in a home with toxic drywall for years so I feel we have been exposed to higher than usual amounts of chemicals, so I cut back on using chemicals everywhere possible. We do a lot of essential oils and chemical free body washes, soaps and cleaning products. Recently I was contacted to try out a couple products that hold true to my "no chemical" rule and I am excited to tell you about them because they are pretty awesome!

Little Twig Lavender Baby Wash- This very nice smelling body wash is made with lavender and camomile, so it is great for bedtime baby baths. My son is now an almost two year old and we still love using this on him. It cleans him very well and leave him smelling nicely. It lathers well and works great as a shampoo on him as well. It is also the perfect body wash for those little ones with sensitive skin which is true for my little man. He has not broken out or had any issues at all with it. I have also found that it leaves his skin extra soft. The most important thing about this body wash is: i it is completely free of phthalates, sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, nut, soy or wheat.

Pretty Mommies- Beautiful Skin Naturally! Win Your 3pc Set Now!

What a difference!! Even though I am not currently pregnant or breastfeeding, after having my little man 11 months ago, my skin has been problematic. My hormones are completely out of control! I am telling you, I have more acne than I did as a teenager! I have also been using a VERY expensive (to me) skin care regime so one would think my skin would be perfect. Not the case at all. The acne on my chin and neck has been so bad that it embarrasses me. A 32 year old woman should not be worrying this much about acne!

I was recently selected to try out Pretty Mommies Skin Care and I am thrilled to report that my skin looks so much better! Right now is the time of month that my skin should be at its worse, and it is so much better than it has been over the past 11 months! This AHHHH-mazing skin care kit contains three parts:
Let's Be Clear Facial Cleanser, Truth Be Told Skin Brightener, and Protect and Reflect.

I personally believe the Let's Be Clear Facial Cleanser is responsible for my decreased acne production. It is seriously amazing for that. Unlike other acne fighting washes, this contains no acids or harsh chemicals that dry your skin out. Even though it is chilly out, my skin is not dry at all! No acne, and healthy moisturized skin make me a happy girl!

The Truth Be Told Skin Brightener is pretty phenomenal in and of itself. Have you ever used a skin care product or lotion that leaves your skin with a satiny smooth feel? A feeling of being moisturized but not at all greasy? This is it! It also contains natural anti-bacterial ingredients, so this too is helping fight my acne!

Protect and Reflect- well my Mommy would love my using this. She has been harping on my to wear sunscreen daily since I was a teenager, but have I ever listened to her? No. However, the protect and reflect makes it pretty easy for me. Unlike many of the greasy sunscreens, this is a perfect consistency to be worn as a primer, and it protects my very pale, very fair skin from those damaging UV rays! The zinc in it calms hormonal skin and helps with discolorations that can be common in pregnancy too!

Actz Cosmetics Sugar Scrubs & Sudzy Fun

Today's sponsor is Actz Cosmetics. I reviewed Actz Cosmetics a little while ago and really enjoyed the quality of the products. One thing I loved is that this small company Woman and Family owned company, developed a few years ago by a licensed Esthetician and Cosmetologist practicing over 44 years.

UNFORTUNATELY, ACTZ Cosmetics has repeatedly refused to respond to emails regarding prize fulfillment for our prize winner, as well as at least 5 other bloggers I know of. They have used many excuses in the beginning, then after about a month, they have stopped responding to any correspondence to any of the bloggers that I know of. I have contacted their customer service directly and they still have not replied. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUYER BEWARE!

Disclosure: I received Actz Cosmetics to facilitate a review from Tomoson.com. No additional compensation was received for this post. The Nurse Mommy blog will always provide honest opinions, beliefs or experiences on products reviewed. We will only recommend products or services that we feel are of benefit to our readers. Primal Pit Paste: No Chemicals, No Toxins, No smell!

As I've been looking more into living as clean and healthy as possible, I've also been looking for healthy, natural, organic and beauty and health ingredients. My sister keeps trying to get my to make my own deodorant, but in full disclosure, that just doesn't work for me. I'm a bit lazy when it comes to many things, and the thought of spreading and rubbing deodorant into my pits kind of eeks me out. However, during my search, I came across this company called Primal Pit Paste. I emailed them to see if they'd be interested in letting me review their product, and they were all for it!

Easy Way to Make Cloth Wipe Solution

I never thought I would be a cloth wipe mama. I made the plunge to cloth diapers simply to save money, and honestly, cloth wipes just make more sense since I was already washing poopy diapers.

CapriClear NATURAL Spray on Moisturizer

In many places fall has already arrived,  here in Florida, we still have a few weeks for the weather to change. Of course, as the weather becomes cooler, it is important to protect your skin and keep it hydrated. This can be tricky with my baby boy since he has a moderate case of eczema. Recently CapriClear contacted me to review their spray lotion made especially for sensitive skin.

In the recent years I have been hearing all about coconut oil. Now, my favorite way to use coconut oil is cooking, however I have heard it being used for anything from diaper rash to hair treatments. I was actually extremely surprised to find that CapriClear spray on lotion is made from one single ingredient: fractionated coconut oil!!

Recently, we were sent Absolute Green Kids Natural Bug Repellant for review and I am so happy with the results.

Mary Kay Botanical Effects Skin Care

With so many toxins in our world today, there is no wonder people are beginning to search for natural products for their home, skin and food. I recently learned of a fairly new skin care line from Mary Kay. In the past I have used Velocity, Timewise, and the Satin Hands is a long time favorite. So, I know that Mary Kay creates products I love and asked to review this new botanical line.

VacciShield for Infants and Kids from WellFuture

The purpose of this post is to provide a review of a product provided to me for free, to test and share my experiences and opinion regarding it's performance on supporting my daughter's immune system during vaccinations. This post is NOT to be a discussion regarding no-vax, delayed vax, spaced-vax, or full/ scheduled vax. Please refrain from initiating discussion regarding those topics.  THANKS!

I had the opportunity to review this fantastic product that I guarantee made a HUGE difference for our family when my daughter had her most recent round of vaccinations.
You see, my daughter gets abnormally sick from her vaccinations- this isn't just crazy mama super anti-vax talk here. See, she always has such a reaction, that we have to schedule her vaccines on Thursday or Friday, because we're guaranteed to have a temp of over 102+ within 24-36 hours of getting her vaccine. Every. Single. Time. Talk about a seriously frustrated mama when we can't get those Thursday or Friday appointments. We split her vaccinations by 2 weeks per 1-2 sticks, depending on what she is receiving at the time. Whenever she receives any more than these 1-2 sticks, she ends up sick for more than a week. There are vaccinations that we will not be administering based upon research, but that's a discussion for a different time.

DoTERRA Deep Blue Review and Giveaway

winner:
allnaturalkatie@gmail.com
So, I am pretty much obsessed with natural essential oils, and particularly doTERRA. They have transformed the way that we treat many common illnesses at my home.

Lately, I have been experiencing more aches and pains then I have in the past. I am not sure if this is because I am 32, or because I have some health issues going on (gallbladder attacks) so it seems that my back is always hurting. As part of the My Natural Family blogging program, this month my oil to review was the doTERRA Deep Blue Roll On. Wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, blue tansy, German chamomile, helichrysum and osmanthus work together to ease achy joints and sore muscles. Immediately after applying this to my mid-back which is the typical area of my pain. Think of a not as intense or burny as many of the methol treatments on the market. Not to mention, it is all natural and not chemical laden.

NaturOli Soap Nuts are the Best Around, Win Yours!

Soap Nuts. It is a product made from nature that man has been using for centuries. Soap Nuts are actually the shell of the seed from the Soapberry nuts, and they act as a natural surfactant, and effectively wash clothes without chemicals or fragrances. Many moons ago, I tried Soap Nuts and found them to be very effective in washing my clothes...but I got busy, forgot to purchase more, and then forgot about them completely. Recently though,  I started using cloth diapers and heard about Soap Nuts being used for this. This had me intrigued and I knew I had to give them another try.

Drum and Freeze Dried Organic Baby Food Contest from NurturMe!

Time passed so fast and now my little guy is a regular baby food eater. I cannot even believe we are here already!! We all want to give our children the best in baby food, right? I mean in a perfect world we would all be Susie homemaker, in the kitchen making fresh baby food daily. However, this is not the reality of the world we live in. Many Moms work, and if you do stay home, that is a full time job as well. So, while researching the next best thing to homemade baby food, I ran across NurturMe. They were also kind enough to agree to send me a sample kit for review.
