Mary Kay Botanical Effects Skin Care

With so many toxins in our world today, there is no wonder people are beginning to search for natural products for their home, skin and food. I recently learned of a fairly new skin care line from Mary Kay. In the past I have used Velocity, Timewise, and the Satin Hands is a long time favorite. So, I know that Mary Kay creates products I love and asked to review this new botanical line.

The first thing I noticed was the price!! $14 for the cleanser, refresher and mask, $16 for the moisturizer in the Botanical Effects line means it is an affordable- but healthy option for your skin!

So, I started my mini facial with the cleanser. This cleanser has a thin, lotion texture to it- and cleansed my skin very well. After using it, it also left my skin very hydrated and clean. 

The mask dries in around five minutes, and as I wash it off I like the gently scrub my face with the exfoliating beads. The great thing about this mask is it can be used as both an exfoliater and mask. The refresher might be my favorite part of this line! It left my skin refreshed and it restores your skins natural balance. I love that it is a fantastic facial cool down. It removes the last little bit of makeup leftover from the cleanser and really soothes my sensitive skin.

Lastly, the moisturizer is great. It is a lighter formula, which I love. I personally cannot stand anything that leaves me with a oily layer after applying. This is light formula but definitely helps with my combination skin. 

All in all, this is a winning skin care line. At only $44, it fits in most budgets. I think as more health conscientious moms, we are all looking for a more natural option in most things in life and Mary Kay Botanical Effects definitely fits that bill. I personally received the 2, which is for normal or combo skin- but there is a formulation for dry and oily skin as well. The most active ingredients are natural and there are no dyes or scents added! All around, Mary Kay answered the needs of many women with this line because it is perfect for sensitive and problematic skin, but still has the awesomeness of all Mary Kay products!!
