Being disabled and sick means that I can’t always leave the house, so I have to stay in. Dan and I try to find things to do as a couple that don’t just involve watching TV, but it’s not easy. Recently I came across a really cool idea It’s called Hunt a Killer. It’s a murder mystery game where you well find out who the killer is. It’s not like any I have played before. Since I love, and I mean LOVE me some CSI, Criminal Minds, etc I thought this would be so much fun. I was super excited when we received the first box (it’s a subscription so it takes 6 month’s time to solve). This is perfect for Valentine’s Day as it’s such a great couples thing to do together.

The Adventure Challenge Switches up your Dates.

Imagine not knowing what your date is going to be until you scratch off the foil in a book. Well, that’s what Dan and I did the other day with the help of The Adventure Challenge Couple Edition. It was a little crazy not knowing what we were going to do up until we were leaving, but fun at the same time. So often we get stuck in a rut of doing the same type of dates with our partners. It’s fun to do something different. That’s where The Adventure Challenge comes in to play. They want to help get you out and about and do something that you may normally not do. My most treasured item from Heidi J Hale is the handwritten message necklace. About a year ago, while cleaning out a shed, I found a card written to me from my dad and used it to create this necklace. You see, my dad died nearly nine years ago, a few short weeks before my son was born. I know he loved me then, and I know he loves me now, but I have a constant reminder around my neck when I need it most! I also showed it to my son the other day while wearing it, and he was curious to see what my dad, his namesake wrote like. This is a cherished keepsake for me, because I loved my dad so very much, and miss him every single day. It is made really nice and I know will hold up well. The only thing I wish is that I had requested a longer chain, because I think I would prefer a bit longer than the 16 inch I received, but it is still a quality made, one of a kind piece that I will enjoy for many years to come!
