I am always looking for new ways to do laundry especially since I have sensitive skin. When I heard about Yoreganics I know I had to contact them. I was sent a laundry sampler, and was lucky enough to receive some soap nuts, stain remover, and brightens and whitens from them! I also got an excellent lip balm which is heavenly!

The lip balm that I received from them is very buttery smooth and not at all waxy. I just LOVE that! It leaves a little tingle and a minty flavor. To make it even better it is USDA certified organic!

I am in love with soap nuts! Wow! They leave my laundry soooo soft and CLEAN!! Who would have thought these little guys do such a nice job! The outer shell turns into soap which cleans your laundry NATURALLY!! How cool is that. No more laundry detergent EVER! Try them and I almost bet you will be equally impressed!

I’ve already used my trial bottle of the stain remover up! First it was Diet Sunkist of mine that little man got a hold of. That was on the collar of his white polo. Next it was pizza sauce on his cute khaki shorts. Let me tell you. I would think that orange and red stains would be the WORST to get out, but not with this stain remover. I immediately sprayed both and washed them….and TADA! Stains be gone! I do have to mention that the citrusy smell can be a little overwhelming in a small room so make sure that you are in a well ventilated room before using.

I’ve been tossing a little of the brightens and whitens into every load of laundry lately, and a little extra in with my towels. Well, something is working. I have sparkling clean, white towels and all of my laundry. Everything just seems a bit “newer” since using this stuff. You can also use it as a soak to get stains out! Good stuff.

You know, I just love Shrek!! I have yet to introduce him to my little man, but I seriously need to. It’s definitely a movie that I believe the whole family can enjoy. Shrek Forever After was just released on May 21st, and I really really want to go see it!

General Mills is helping to celebrate by releasing lots of Shrek themed items. I was lucky enough to receive this great prize pack with cereals, muffin mix, and these awesome MINI FRUIT ROLL UPS! They have to be my favorite because my little man LOVES sweets, and this way he can get his sweet fix without a full sized fruit roll up. I will definitely be buying more of them!

I am still debating whether little man and I are going to have the yummy muffins for breakfast in the morning or if we are going to have our morning cereal together in my recliner. He loves to sit with me while we each eat our bowl in the morning times. It’s our sweet little way to start the day!

We have one very elderly chihuahua named Layla! Dental problems seem to be quite common with small breeds when they get older, so I jumped at the chance to review Milk Bones Brushing Chews. Now Layla can have a little snack but also keep her teeth healthy!

In my line of work, comfortable scrubs are a necessity. You see, I am not a typical nurse. I am a nurse in a pediatric setting that is more like a daycare for medically fragile kids. We are a busy family. My little man is in preschool 3 hours a day M-F and then has tumbling classes on Wednesday evening. My husband works night and I am a working Mommy, too. I often struggle with preparing my little man nutritious meals that taste good to him. Many times he is happy with a cheese sandwich and it is all we have time for. However, I just discovered a new favorite for him, which I love too! Kidfresh meals are a healthy alternative to home cooked meals, and even sneak in up to 33% of a child (ages 4-8) daily vegetable requirements! When I first heard of Striped Shirt, I thought it was such a cute and simple idea. I mean, think of the possibilities. Family pictures….vacations where you don’t want to lose each other (think Disney World) or just to be a cutesy family. What I was not prepared for with these shirts is the quality. I was quite honestly expecting a plain jane tee that might not hold up for very long. Instead I received this fantastic high quality shirt that I know will last a long time. The shirt has a lot of stretch to it- and is long enough for the more mature ladies.

These shirts were actually made to show your team spirit…something made that the ladies and children would look nice in (instead of those boxy-no shape team shirts you find everywhere) Since Striped Shirt does not yet offer my beloved Orange and Blue of the Florida Gators (but offers garnet and gold booo) My little guy and I opted for the white and green…simply because he loves green. I honestly do not even have any idea of which team we are representing in this, but it’s still cute. It is also great to wear at Christmastime in Florida (though Striped Shirt offers a red and green option as well). So, sports fan or not, Striped Shirt offers something for everyone!

One of my luxuries in life is pretty nails and toes. I generally get pedicures because it is so relaxing but I hate to splurge on a manicure when I can do it myself. Though, this saves money I often wish that I had super cute designs on my fingers, well I DID wish. That is until I discovered Jamberry! Can we say designalicious! There are so many fantastic designs to choose from! Okay, Okay…getting a little ahead of myself now. Let me tell you what Jamberry is. They are these fantastic nail shields that are super easy to apply and come in these fantastic patterns. Maybe you are not like me, and prefer solids to patterns…well, that’s okay, Jamberry offers that too! The solids are very pretty and they have nice colors to choose from!

I personally received the burgundy paisley which I think is a very subtle fall print. I wore these for a while, and got so many compliments. At my dentist office the hygienist actually got another girl to come and see them because she knew that she would love them! They were talked about all over the place that is for sure! Had I not opted for the burgundy paisley print, and it was a little closer to Christmas I would have definitely went for the Candy Cane. I just love it and it is so festive.

The Jamberry Shields were pretty easy to put on and in my case stayed on for about a week. When I decided to remove them that was super easy as well…just peel them off and tada…nekkie fingers. Easy Peasy.

Being on a low-carb diet can be so boring at times, but the weight loss is so desirable that it makes the blah diet more tolerable. However, I recently discovered a great way to add protein to your diet WHILE enjoying it! Some days when I need a little bit of sweet to break up the monotony of meat and cheese, I will grab half of a Supreme Protein bar. Wow, the first time I tried this, I knew I was in love!! The taste is phenomenal. You almost have no clue that this is a protein bar (maybe a teeny hint of an aftertaste afterwards) and it is sooo good! One 50 gram bar packs in 15 grams of protein, and only 18 carbs. Calories are 200, which is not bad if you have looked into other protein bars. I know I have, and I have tasted many of them..and Supreme Protein has to be the best yet! These bars are available practically everywhere: CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, GNC and thousands of other retail locations.


I received three flavors to try:
-Peanut Butter and Jelly which really does not taste much like PB&J but it is pretty yummy in and of itself. It does have an obvious jelly flavor, I just think it is lacking slightly in the peanut butter department.
-Peanut Butter Pretzel Twist- This is my absolute FAVORITE, which I would think would be my least favorite. Usually I hate a sweet/salty combo but in this case it is soooo delicious and packs a little crunch that I love!
-Caramel Nut Chocolate- This is a fabulous little combo that helps on those days that you are craving a bit of chocolate in your life. Fabulous.

Having my little man dress in styles that not everyone has is important to me. I see my little guy as a reflection of myself and I want him looking good and being stylish. I seriously think that my little man’s favorite holiday is Halloween. He loves the dressing up..the candy…the treats..and even Halloween decorations. Needless to say, he could not until it was time to pick out a Halloween costume this year. He decided he really wanted the child Policeman Costume. When it arrived I was definitely impressed with the quality. This costume is not one of those lightweight cheapies you find elsewhere. I was also excited because this costume from Anytime Costumes comes with a belt and gun holster, hat, pants, and decorated jacket! It makes the costume seem that much more authentic! I will say it runs true to size. I ordered a size up because in the past I have found costumes run very small. Unfortunately, not the case with this costume, and sadly it is really big on little man. However, will some roles on the legs and a tightening of the belt, we can make it work..and we have one happy little boy. So, please order your child’s correct size if you purchase this costume from Anytime Costumes.
