The last film of Star Wars franchise recently came out in the theater and if you love Star Wars like my family does, you probably went and saw it. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was definitely worth seeing in the theater. On March 31 you will be able to purchase it on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD. Right now, you can buy digital from Movies Anywhere. While you are at home with your family and want a fun DIY activity, below are instructions to make a X-Wing craft with just a few items.

Fall crafts with Duck Tape and Pilot Pen
by:
Katrina Kroeplin
Crafts are always
fun especially if I can include my kids. So, for Fall and Halloween I wanted to
do something fun and a little different with one of my favorite brands Pilot Pens and a brand most don’t think of Duck Tape and combine the two. Take a look
and see what we created.

DIY State String Art
by:
Katrina Kroeplin
I had seen string art before and thought it looked neat,
but that’s about it. Well, until Mya showed me a state string out that she
thought was really cool. She hasn’t been feeling well, so I wanted to cheer her
up, so I went out and got all the supplies needed. I couldn’t find the wood I
wanted so Target came to the rescue and I used a foam board.

Perfect craft for kids with Pillow Puffs
by:
Katrina Kroeplin
My oldest is not a tween (age 12), but she still loves to do crafts, and of course her little sister loves to help her with them as well. We were asked to checkout some of the products from Pillow Puffs. They looked like fun simple crafts, so I thought it would be fun for my girls.

Hand Turkey Shirts!
by:
Paige
I got the bright idea the other day to make hand turkey shirts! We always make hand turkeys and hang them up, but by purchasing fabric markers we made fun shirts that can be worn now and for years to come (in the case of my older son because he grows more slowly now.) Both shirts cost less than $15 to make, and now I have the fabric markers to make other cool things (Christmas trees at Christmas-time!)

fun with duct tape
by:
Katrina Kroeplin
When I think of duct tape I think of fixing something around the house (seriously who doesn’t?) or not having regular tape to put something up on the door or where ever. When Mya thinks of duct tape she thinks of fun things she can make. Funny how generations are so different. Scotch reached out to see if we wanted to try out their patterned tape for designs. I knew Mya would love to so I of course said yes.

Win 7 New Play-Doh Books from Silver Dolphin!
by:
Paige
We recently received a lot of Play-Doh books for review. I never actually knew that there were such books so I was thrilled to see what they are all about. My older son and I were most thrilled about the hands on learning series! This series is so fun and allows you to work with you hands to make play-doh sculptures. My older son is a little delayed with his fine motor skills so working together to achieve adorable hippos, friendly frogs and other adorable creatures really help him! I love that it is bonding time between us, and we are doing arts and crafts together, which was my favorite pastime when he was younger!

Our Saturday Christmas Art Project!
by:
Paige
I love holidays because they give me an excuse to do something I love!!! "Arts and Craps" as my oldest calls it! He is now six and growing out of wanting to craft with me, so I've got to introduce my newest "crapping" sidekick to it now!

Welcome to the Under the Rainbow Giveaway Hop,
hosted by the Blogging Mamas Network!
From March 1st-17th, you'll have the chance to win tons of prizes from over 60 bloggers to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! So after you enter this giveaway, make like a little green Leprechaun, chase the rainbow, and hop around to all the other blogs participating in the Event! There's some great swag to be won! What will YOU find Under the Rainbow?!
This rainbow leads you to a FANTASTIC pot of gold: An Amazing Art & Craft Activity Box for your little one, sponsored by the AMAZING Tmuffin. Lots of moms call these boxes "busy" boxes, but I call them boxes of MERRIMENT! Why? You'll see exactly what I mean below. Be ready for a pic heavy post!
About our sponsor:

Tmuffin is a small business located in North Carolina, owned by an amazing woman named Gaby. Tmuffin is not just a store, but a one stop shop for motherhood. Tmuffin offers products, but most notably, they offer educational classes and support for soon to be and new moms. The classes revolve around birth, safe and proper babywearing, play and parenting. They are in the process of moving to a new, larger location to be able to accommodate more participants and have a larger area for their Play Cafe. What's the Play Cafe? It's a play group that lets your child play with other children, participate in arts & crafts, or just let their imagination run wild. Needless to say, I am honored to partner up with Tmuffin for the Under the Rainbow Giveaway Hop and was SO stoked that Gaby was generous enough to offer one of her activity boxes up for
What Tmuffin says about Creativity, Art and their Activity Boxes:
We focus on the process, not the product. Crafting is an opportunity for teaching and connecting with your child. The crafts made with our Tool Kits are open ended, but we do provide detailed instructions and suggestions for how to use the kits, including tips on how to keep your little one’s attention span going for more than 5 minutes! The end result is always one of a kind.
What's the worst that can happen?
She eats the paint?
We make a mess?
We get paint on the sofa?
I'm totally not the mom that worries about ANY of that. Why? The paint is non toxic, and I'm certain she's had things more disgusting in her mouth before. Messy play is good play. Always being perfectly clean, prim and proper is what leads to sensory issues later in life (explained a little further below). And my sofa? IT'S LIGHT GRAY! Wanna know my secret? When we bought our sofa and loveseat, we were planning on having a family in the super near future. Like then. So, that took into account as to what we ended up buying. Guess what? It's a cotton slipcover. You take it off, put some pre-treatment (aka blue dawn dish soap) and throw it in the washer. Mess just doesn't bother me, it can be CLEANED UP.
Breathe mamas!
Here's our car, before :)
And yes, I did the cutting.

The Finished Product
I know, lots of pics! But I wanted to show you how fun and easy this is!
Now, above, remember how I said that getting messy was good? That people that never let their hands get dirty, touch weird feeling stuff, won't even try something they're not sure how it feels? Well, check out my post with Part Two of the Ooey Gooey Car Wash and how I incorporated it into my pediatric Occupational Therapy practice.

Tmuffin Ooey Gooey Therapy Fun, Review Part 2
by:
Michelle Bowman
Welcome! I'm sure you're visiting from the Tmuffin Ooey Gooey Activity Box Giveaway from Tmuffin and wondering what else we did with this activity box.
As a pediatric Occupational Therapist, I work with children on MANY things. What's an occupational therapist? Well, according to the American Occupational Therapy Association, an Occupational Therapist helps people increase their quality of life by engaging them in purposeful activitys or interventions designed to achieve functional outcomes which promote health, prevent injury or disability and which develop, improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence. In kids, this means I help them when they are delayed developmentally, teach them to function optimally when have difficulty processing sensory information in their environment, even help them work on basic life skills, such as learning how to dress themselves or handwriting.
