Summer is here and that means a lot of outdoor play for the kids. My kids love being outside, well my youngest more so than the oldest. Every year for the past 4 years we have a day in June that we call “Apple Party Day”. It sounds funny and it really is, but we do it for fun and everyone loves it. Since we make a big deal out of Apple Party Day, this year I wanted it to be even more fun, so when I had the opportunity to test out the Fobbles machine, I know Apple Party Day would be the perfect time.

If you have been around here..or over on our instagram at all lately, it is exceedingly obvious I am in hot party planning mode! I even made this entire super cute outfit for her party that I am so very proud of! (the giant kissy lips are to hide her name for this post because I do not share that here) Anyway, Candles and Favors agreed to work with me again for this party planning and sent me several items!!

They sent the Glass Candy Jars which is amazing because I am doing a candy bar, so this is the perfect way for my guest to fill up on the treats that they want to take home with them!! Also, I am giving them bug catchers as their goodie at the party, and I was thinking these glass jars also serve as bug holders while they are out catching them! They are multipurpose, which is awesome. They are also a really heavy duty, not a cheap thin type jar. These are made to last and are definitely quality pieces!

My baby girl is turning one soon! I cannot believe it, but it is true. In anticipation of her party I have been in planning mode because I just cannot wait. She is my ONLY girl, and my last baby, so we plan to go BIG this year for her party! We have the room all booked, and the theme ready: ladybugs. Now I just need the decorations. Well, just as I was pondering where I might get the quality, affordable decorations I had in my mind, Minted reached out to me about their party decor and knowing their amazing quality with holiday cards, I jumped at the chance to work with them!

Party Ready Salsa Wraps with Buddig Premium Meat

As we've discussed here, we love our Buddig Premium meat! We have enjoyed many recipes with it, but this is a new one I have been experimenting with!! In a couple of months its my daughters birthday party, and I am also giving my cousin a baby shower, so I am looking for different recipes to try. I have been experimenting with tortilla wrap sandwiches and just came up with my personal favorite! 

Ingredients:

• Tortillas
• Buddig Premiums Roasted Turkey Breast
• Cheese of choice- I am a fan of Provolone
• Salsa Flavored Cream Cheese (the one I used was Winn Dixie brand)
• Optional: Fresh Spinach or Romaine Lettuce for crunch

Instructions:
Spread the cream cheese on the tortilla, making sure to spread it on the outer edges so that the wrap will close. Then add a few slices of of the deli meat, and cheese and roll up. After you have it tightly rolled, cut into four pieces, trimming the edges off. Tada: Party Ready Food!! 

Party Like it's Your Birthday at Chuck E Cheese

I have two children, one is 12 and the other 3, so I have had my share of birthday parties. I have done ones inside the house, outside the house and then on location at the park, roller rink etc. While having a party at your house is nice and convenient for a location, you do have to spend so much time cleaning, buying groceries, cooking (or planning delivery), then of course entertaining and setting everything up. I love location parties, as all you have to do is show up. They help you with everything. I recently had the chance to have a party for my three year old daughter at Chuck E Cheese. I want to disclose that it was not her real birthday, but we did “party like it’s your birthday”.

My oldest son is going to turn 8 in just a few short weeks! This seems absolutely insane to me, but alas, the time is here to start planning his party. So when I was recently accepted to do Disney Side @Home Celebrations party I was really excited. We were sent the Disney Villains pack. Since it’s geared towards tweens/teens it was perfect for Mya and her friends. We waited a little bit a corresponded it with a sleep over/belated birthday party. Timing really was perfect.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party Ideas!

I have heard a lot of hype about the ugly Christmas sweater, and despite what my Moms hairdressers told her, they have become the new thing! Moms hairdressers told her I was making it up so she would look silly when I got her this new sweater for review. Whatever, hairdressers! The rage right now is throwing ugly Christmas sweater parties, and the gaudier the better!

So, I contacted Ugly Christmas Sweater a while back, and they recently sent me the Black Cardigan with lights! First off, the quality of this sweater is amazing. It is very heavy, and I have no doubt it will last for years to come! I personally love it, and my Mom does too- even if she hates to admit it. We could totally rock the Christmas parties in this thing!! It even blinks which adds an amazingly ugly touch!

Creative Dinosaur Birthday Party

My oldest just turned six and he is a living, breathing dinosaur. Well, at least he is 80% of the time. This little boy can tell you anything you want to know about a dinosaur..it is amazing!! I knew I had to give him a dinosaur birthday party, so I began browsing the internet for ideas and wanted to share with you what I have found. Other than purchasing some dinosaur decorations at the local party store, and having the party at a ceramic place that provided dinosaur ceramics to paint, we mostly had fun with the food. We threw in a few of his toys as decorations- cheap and easy!
