albumenvy makes for a great gift this holiday season

Photo albums are one of those gifts and products that everyone loves to do for themselves and for others. I mean, who doesn’t like receiving one right? I know my girls and I have made countless for my parents, and I have made a few for myself. Recently I was asked by Albumenvy if I wanted to create a photo book from my trip this summer to New Orleans. The trip was amazing, and I loved the idea of putting some of our favorite pictures together into a photobook.

Limelens is helping me take my blogging photos to another level while still using my phone!

As you all know, I am a blogger, so that means I take many, many pictures. While I do have a nice SLR camera, sometimes it is too much of a pain to lug it out and upload the picture to my computer, so I often wished for better quality pictures on my iphone. Limelens answered this wish and sent me their cell phone lens.

Bags and cameras! I know many women who feel as if those are two of their bigger loves in life! I totally understand that feeling, and I have a deep passion for beautiful bags, and love my slr camera. My biggest issue with the camera is that it is so big and bulky and our ugly black camera bag is awkward to carry. I rarely bring it if my hubby is not available to carry the bag, even though I love the photo quality. Instead I opt for grainy iphone pictures.

My favorite family moments are simply the ones that happen everyday. I am so blessed to have two beautiful boys who are over five years apart. Many days, it felt like I completely started over from scratch but watching my older son form into this amazingly funny and protective big brother warmed my heart. I have been very proud of him for many things in his six years, but the way he treats his baby brother makes me proudest. You can just see the love glowing from his little brothers eyes!

Finally an activity he loves!

Some of you may remember, he hated HATED soccer, so we took him out. I don't want my three year old to feel pressured into something he hates, especially when soccer was MY decision, not his. So, we decided to try him in tumbling classes, and he adores it! He is so excited to go back next week.

and a picture he insisted on us taking when we got home, he was excited that I bought him a couple outfits to wear to tumbling class, and this one had a train on it lol!

We had a nice Saturday together...

Little man and I had such a nice day. We went to the butterfly gardens and got so many nice pictures. They also have a museum attached that we walked through. Then little man got to go to Toys R Us and spend the $10 he got from his great grandmother for Easter..which of course he spent on a Chuggington Train, the last guy he did not have, Harrison. Anyway, just wanted to share a few pictures from our day. Hope you had a fabulous saturday as well!

Another interesting tadpole fact...

Some love people. One of our little guys will swim into our hands and let us pet him, he will stay there for minutes at a time (in the water) to be petted and eventually swim away. His tank mate is not the socializing type, but this little fellow is. Who would have known??

Tadpoles are strange little creatures..

If you are like me, and not a tadpole expert, you might think this little guy was dead. If you saw him standing on his head, you might also think this. However, that is not the case..and this is apparently normal tadpole behavior. They have almost gotten themselves flushed a few times....only to move at the last minute.

My little man is silly!

We recently took a trip to St. Augustine. Almost all the pictures this day were of him sticking his tongue out, I guess it was just that kind of day!

We had family pictures taken today, and I just got one of little man as a sneak peak, and I love it!!

I love this time of year!

I realize I have not been around much..

First, we went on vacation at the first of the month. As soon as we got settled in, it was time for little man to start preschool. He loves it by the way. He is apparently very well behaved, because he is alway coming home with little treats from the treasure box because he helps out! Make this Mama proud!!

We have also been doing more fun thing, since the weather is a bit nicer (80s instead of upper 90s) here. We have had cookouts with friends and have went to craft centers....and played outside a lot.


Little man also started soccer. It did not go all that well. He would not move much, but we have been practicing like crazy..and I am hoping next week is better...


AND little man recently had his sleep study. We have not got the results back yet, but it is looking probable that he has obstructive sleep apnea related to his larger tonsils. If the test was positive for sleep apnea, then he will have his tonsils and adnoids removed.

So yah, I am guessing this is the age that life starts to get busier for me!! I always wanted to be a soccer Mom....and I am loving it, but man o man! Its pretty tiring!

You might wonder...

why I have been MIA lately...well let me explain with pictures...





Saturday was little mans 3rd birthday party! YAH! He is growing up. Then Sunday was my Birthday...my last year of being twenty, as my Mom and Sis keep reminding me! Tomorrow is little mans actual birthday...sniff sniff!! Anywho, thats where Ive been. I have several reviews I need to get up, and plan to work on that tonight!

Today is...

three years that my Daddy went to Heaven.

Whats that noise?

So, little man is sick again!! He came up to me and was snuggling. Last thing he said was "EWW WET!" because he had drooled on my shoulder....and then I heard snoring. I love this little guy!!

A day at the park...

We went to the park and experimented with taking some photos. The lighting was horrid, overally sunshiny, overly rainy over and over. So, the settings were changed over and over. Anyway, if there are any photography readers here any critiques would be appreciated.
