Make it a movie night with Call of the Wild

The kids have been going stir crazy as I’m sure yours have been as well. I have been trying to think outside of the box for activates. I wanted to get the projector out for a movie night, but it’s still a little cold out so and inside movie night it was. At the same time I wanted them to get involved. I mean, I could do all the work, but that wouldn’t be as much fun. So part of homeschool art class was create the signs for movie night. The movie was Call of the Wild. You can get on digital right now from Movies Anywhere and soon from Blu-Ray and DVD.

Frozen 2, now on Blu-Ray , DVD & Digital

We have all seen Frozen. It was on a loop in my house back in when it first came out. Now Disney has come out with Frozen 2 is out on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital for you to own. We have it and it was on at 5:45 when Fallon getting ready for school in the morning, so the loop is already in full swing. I have to admit though, I do love the movie and I loved the first one, so I really don’t mind too much. So, have your kids get their Frozen pajamas on, and snuggle up on the couch and watch Olaf, Anna, Elsa and the gang go into the enchanted forest.

Buy Aladdin Live Action Blu-Ray and Digital Now

Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies. I have the original on VHS. Actually, I received it as a gift in 3^rd grade (really making myself feel old here). When I heard that they were making it into live action I got really excited and couldn’t wait to see it. This was a movie that I was not missing out on seeing in the theater. I’m so glad we all went as it was so good. Will Smith did a great job as the Genie. Robin Williams will always be the original Genie, but Will out his own spin on it and did not try and outdo Robin and I can appreciate that. Right now, you can go and buy your own copy of Aladdin Live Action on Blu-Ray and Digital. Also, you can get a copy of the original Aladdin which I was so excited to get as it has been so long since I have watch that.

A Wrinkle in Time Now Playing in Theaters

We went and saw A Wrinkle in Time tonight and I have to say, GO SEE IT! It really was a great movie. My 15 year old loved it and said she can’t wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray. We have been waiting to see it ever since we heard it was being made. One part I had to laugh… when Oprah says run, you RUN. You will get the reference when you see it.

Marry Poppins Teaser Trailer

My oldest daughter and I went and saw A Wrinkle in Time tonight (which was awesome by the way) and the trailer for Mary Poppins in the mix of previews and I seriously can’t wait. I’m 33, so I grew up on her and can’t wait for my kids to see a new version. The only part that makes me sad is that we have to wait until Christmas to see it.

Memorial Day weekend is a perfect weekend for a new Star Wars movie to come out. During the Super Bowl they teased us with a small clip. Here is a longer one that gives us just a little more of a taste of what Solo is going to be like. I can't wait. I'm hoping to see this at an IMAX.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on DVD/Blu-ray

This past summer we saw a few movies in the theater. One of them was Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Who doesn’t love Johnny Depp right? Besides the very first installment of Pirates, this one was my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I think they all have been good, but the first and this are my favorites. You can find it on Digital in HD and 4K Ultra HD™ on September 19, and on 4K Ultra HD™/Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD and On-Demand on October 3.

The Lion King and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital

There are 2 movies that you must get that are coming out on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital soon.

The Lion King, is seriously one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. I love Simba, and grew up singing “I just can’t wait to be king”, but would change it to “queen”. I’m excited to let you know that Disney is bring The Lion King back on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital on Aug 15 (DVD) and Aug 29 (Blu-Ray). I have a 14 year old and a 5 year old. They are perfect ages for me to watch The Lion King with over and over!

My kids and I saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the theater, so when we got it on DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital we couldn’t wait to open it and watch it again. We can’t wait for a 3rd to come out. Chris Pratt is a favorite of mine, but who doesn’t love Groot and in Vol 2 Groot is a baby (so cute). So make sure you buy your copy. You can even get it in 4K Ultra HD on Aug 22nd.

Descendants 2 on DVD Aug 15

If you have a tween or even a teen, I’m sure you have heard of the movie Descendants. Recently Disney came out with the sequel to the movie. On Aug 15th, you can get it on DVD/bluray. My 14 year old and I watched Descendants 2 when it was on the Disney channel, so we were so excited when we got it on DVD and to be honest, we have watched it a few to many times already.

Johnny Depp is back for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Need I say more, ok I do.... Is it May 26th yet? As that's when it hits theaters.

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” a rip-roaring adventure that finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack.

Emily Blunt is Playing Mary Poppins!

I LOVE Mary Poppins. When I heard Emily Blunt was playing Mary Poppins I was so excited. I can't wait for it to come out in theaters December 25, 2018!

Directed and produced by Rob Marshall, MARY POPPINS RETURNS also stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer and Julie Walters with Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury. The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Whishaw) and Jane (Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep). The film is produced by Marshall, John DeLuca and Marc Platt. The screenplay is by David Magee based on The Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman writing all new songs and Shaiman composing an original score.

The Lion Guard: Unleash the Power on DVD

I remember watching the Lion King as a child. Ok, I still will watch it. I love that movie. Now that Lion Guard came out, my youngest can get into it as well. She has seen the regular Lion King, but seems to like Lion Guard better.

My 13 year old daughter loves Disney. Most of the shows she loves are from Disney with one of her favorite actresses being Sabrina Carpenter (Maya from Girl Meets World). Sabrina’s newest movie is the Adventures in Babysitting.
