My dog House will get into trouble the second he’s given an opportunity. The garbage is one of his biggest things. He loves to tip it over, he’s smart though. He waits until we are gone to do it. I was recently sent the Vimtag P1 Smart Cloud IP Camera so I can spy (I mean check on him) when I’m not home.
Since this camera is supported by my wifi, I needed to connect it. I’m used to just plugging in the username, password and I’m done (after downloading the app of course). Vimtag is a little different, but not in a bad way. They give you options on how you want to connect. You can plug the information in manually or you can scan the QR code that’s on the bottom of the camera base. From there you need the camera near your router/modem, connect via ethernet cord, or the other options is to hold your phone up with a special QR code and have the camera scan it. Like I said, a little different, but I like it. It gives multiple options. Once that’s done you just follow the directions on the app screen and you are ready to spy (check) on your pets.
Vimtag’s app is a little different in how you move and zoom (4x Digital Zoom). There aren’t control buttons that you press to go left, right, up or down. You just press the screen with your finger and move it around that way. You can also talk through the camera. Don’t do this if you animals get upset or confused really easily. We were gone and I did this to house and he was very confused. It was kind of funny as he didn’t know why my voice was coming from the camera.
You can buy the cloud storage cloudbox for extra recording storage. Another option is to put a micro SD card in the camera and save your recordings. This comes in handy when you need play backs. Like for proving the dog does knock over the garbage within minutes of us walking out of the house, or the cat jumping on the counter etc.
The camera is small enough that you can put it on a shelf or you can mount it on the wall (the attachment is included in the box).

ReplyDeleteThis sounds awesome! I love that you can also talk through the camera!
ReplyDeleteAwww, sounds good. Wish we had this at the beginning of th year (or end of last) when our dear Charlie was very sick (at age 20). We had to keep an eye on her 24/7 if not with her which made it difficult. I fell asleep when poor darling passed away. :...(

ReplyDeleteThis is a great product if you have to leave your pets alone during the day, especially a nervous pet that could be helped from hearing your voice.
