My dog House is a big boy, like 110 pounds big. He can look intimidating but he really is a gentle dog, and one of my babies. So when he started scratching his ears alot and whimpering, I knew something was really wrong and needed to help him. If I need to take my pets to the vet I do, but I try to do things at home first just in case I can help them (we all know how traumatizing the vet’s office can be for animals). So I went down to PetSmart and asked what I should try. They suggested Bayer® ExpertCareTM for dogs. I should have thought of that since I have used their products before and loved them.

So important to follow directions, especially when it comes to treating animals. Bayer® ExpertCareTM says to “Use once or twice weekly, or as directed by your veterinarian. Discontinue use and contact your veterinarian if redness or irritation persists, or if the dog exhibits signs of ear infection such as a foul odor, head tilt and/or hearing loss. Apply ExpertCare by Bayer Ear Cleansing Rinse liberally to the ear canal. Gently massage base of ear to help break up accumulated internal wax and crust. Use cotton or absorbent material to clean excess solution and debris from open area of ear. DO NOT insert a cotton tipped applicator into dog's ear to avoid damage to sensitive tissues.”

One of the things I love about this, is that it has Aloe Vera in it. I know how soothing it is for me, so having it for House in the ear care, makes me feel better. We were lucky and the Bayer® ExpertCareTM Ear Care was all we needed to solve House’s problems. I’m also happy that House is laid back and it was easy to put in his ears. My husband talked to him and pet his head while I put it in him and massaged the area. After a few seconds he actually seemed to enjoy it. I didn’t even need my husband’s help after the first time.

I love being able to run into PetSmart and find pretty much everything and anything I need for my cats and dog, and any other animal we may have in the future (we have had a hamster, fish and other critters). I also plan on keeping this and other Bayer® ExpertCareTM products on hand for when I need them.
