Help find the cure with Brenda Novak and the Diabetes Research Institute

I was recently honored to speak with author Brenda Novak. Brenda is not only a New York Times bestselling author, but she is also a huge advocate when it comes to diabetes research and finding a cure. In the last 10 years she has raised more than 2.4 million dollars to aid the Diabetes Research Institute , whose only focus is to cure diabetes.

One night she was at her son's school and saw there was a silent auction going on. This made her think about how she could take a silent auction, but step it up a notch. Brenda decided to take it and put her online so that people could bid without having to leave their own house. Doing it online saves from finding a venue, and all costs associated with an event. Last year, Brenda decided to change things a little. She recruited some her author friends and asked if they would write a story to be included in a box set with the proceeds going to the Diabetes Research Institute. The box set was such a huge hit, they decided to include even more authors and compile enough stories to make 3 box sets.

This is where your help comes in. Right now the sets are in pre-order. Each set has between 10 and 14 brand new stories. What’s even better is that each set is only $10! A few of the stories in each set are short novellas but some are full length books. You really can’t find a better deal out there. There is something for everyone in these sets.

The first set is called Sweet Talk. You will get 10 contemporary romance stories by bestselling authors like Molly O’keefe, Sherryl Woods, Violet Duke and this set is featuring a foreword by Robyn Carr.

The second set is Sweet Dreams, where there are 13 thrillers. A few of the authors include Brenda Novak herself, CJ Lyons, Jo Robertson and many more. Personally, I love thriller books, so I can’t wait to order this one for myself.

The third set will called Sweet Seduction will be loved by all the romance readers. 14 steamy romances from authors like JS Cooper, Megan Hart, Avery Aster and more. I know a few friends I could order for as a gift.

By ordering one or more of these box sets, you are getting more than just a few books. You are giving towards diabetes research AND getting books that you won’t be able to find elsewhere. These authors are writing these stories just for these sets.

Like I said above, these are in pre-order. They will be available for download on May 1st as well, but only through June 30th, so you will need to act fast. If you want to have them on your phone, tablet or computer you can. I love having hard copies of books, but I am also a huge tech nerd so having them on my kindle is perfect for when i’m in the car, or sitting in the doctors office (which I do way too often).

Please take a moment to check out these awesome sets and think about ordering one for yourself or even as a gift for someone who loves to read. Also be on the lookout for her first ever cookbook. I saw a sneak peak at one of the recipes and it looks amazing!
