LeapFog Moms Squad Box of Goodies: Word Whammer and LeapPad Platinum Review

I am so excited to be a part of the Leapfrog Moms Squad this year. I recently received a goodie box of awesome LeapFrog products that my sons both adore!
Even though we are not quite to the spelling words stage with my youngest, and past the stage with my oldest, the Word Whammer was still a huge hit with both boys. I think my oldest likes playing it because it is a mindless way, for him to unwind, and my youngest likes it because of all of the lights and sounds. I do play it with him and explain different letters and words, and make it educational for him as well! It is for ages 4+ and I have a 2 and 8 year old so they both fall out of the recommended age. However, I have found that my youngest is starting to pick up on a few things, and recognizing letters using it at the beginning skill level, so it is definitely educational for him, and I know over the next year he will be learning a lot from it!

Of course, the LeapPad Platinum that we received is by far the favorite of both of my boys! These boys love electronics and tablets. The LeapPad Platinum is so fun! There is just so much to do with this, and we love that we also received a Paw Patrol game which is a favorite of both of my boys! There is so much to do with this tablet that is built in, and then there is so much more that you can download too! The screen is very large in size and incredibly fun for my sons, and it is pretty tough. Trust me, my two boys have totally put this through the ropes and it is still in perfect condition. Lately, even though they each have iPads, my boys have been fighting over who gets to play with the LeapPad Platinum, so that should tell you what a great hit it has become around here!Whats even better to this mama, is almost everything they are playing has an educational component to it, so it is not mindless play and they are actually learning stuff that can help them in school!
