Johnsons baby hair

Kids have been back to school for two weeks now. It’s crazy how quiet my house is with only one kid at home. Both my girls love hair products and I was really happy when Johnson’s Baby asked to send us some hair accessories and products.

Mya’s hair is so thick that you have to use a ton of conditioner in it. Since I started having her use Johnson’s products her hair is a lot more manageable. This is what I followed and it works like a charm.

The three-step regimen is essential for maintaining healthy-looking and nourished hair:

This is like normal shampoo, just lather up and rinse. Paraben-free, phthalate-free and triclosan-free. Mya is old enough that if some gets in her eyes it doesn’t bother her. I don’t have to worry about that though, since the shampoo is in their no more tears line so it doesn’t irritate the eyes. It also smells really good.

If your child has straight/thin hair Johnson’s also has shampoo/conditioner specific for their hair as well.

  • Step 2: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Leave In Conditioner controls wild frizz and tangles for silky, shiny hair
Even though the Shampoo has conditioner in it, it isn’t enough coverage for Mya’s hair so we also use the leave in conditioner. You don’t have to wait until her hair is dry to apply it. Just put some in your palm, spread between hands and gently work through the hair. When you are done with that just come as normal. You don’t have to rinse with this one.

  • Step 3: JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Detangling Spray instantly unlocks stubborn knots in wet or dry hair

Mya washes her hair every other day otherwise it gets dry if she does it every day. on the days she doesn’t wash it, we just spray a little of the detangling spray in and comb as normal. You only need a few sprays to get it to work really well.

Johnson’s baby also sent us some really cute hair accessories to try out. Fallon wanted to be like her big sister and wear a headband. Below are acouple ideas to style your daughter’s hair. Mya wants me to try the princess twist.

Bow Bun

  •       Pull the hair back into a ponytail creating a loop using about half to three quarters of the hair in the ponytail, leaving a long loose end.
  •       Tuck the loose end into the elastic to keep the loop in place.
  •       Divide the looped hair into evenly distributed sections.
  •       Clip one loop off to the side using a bobby pin.
  •       Do the same with the other loop.
  •       Create the middle piece of the bow by taking the loose strand of hair in front of the bow and pull it back and through the middle of your bow sections.
  •       Tuck the strand securely into the hair tie and use bobby pins to secure it.
  •       Fluff out the bow for a fuller look.

Princess Twist

  •    Start off by parting hair down the middle.
  •    Next begin at the temple and divide out small section of hair.
  •    Divide that section of hair in two pieces.
  •    Take those two pieces and cross bottom piece over the top piece.·
  •    Add hair into bottom piece and cross it over the top piece.
  •    Continue adding hair & crossing it.
  •    Stop once you reach the nape of the neck.
  •    Make a rope braid with remaining hair & secure end with elastic.
  •    Repeat on the opposite side.
  •    Wind each rope braid up into a loose bun & secure with bobby pins as needed.
  •    Add a bow for a finishing touch.
