iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer

Recently I had a chance to try out the new iCoffee Opus. I have gotten so used to having my coffee makers be single cup ones that I can’t really go back, so I was so glad to hear they have a single serve brewer.

Size wise the Opus is 13 1/8″ (H) x 10″ (W) x 13 1/8″ (D), but not too big for those with limited counter space.

Even though it is a single serve machine, it holds water for many servings. Up to 75 ounces to be exact. The water reservoir is easily accessible on the side of the machine. To add more water you just have to lift and it comes up.

Once you add water to the reservoir, add your K-Cup, OneCup, or RealCup (yup, iCoffee Opus works with all those), tell it how many ounces you want. After that press brew and watch the magic begin. It may take a minute or two for the water to heat up but once it’s ready it brews really fast.

Of course you can find pretty much any flavor of of coffee in K-Cups, but sometimes you just want your favorite ground coffee. Luckily it’s really easy to use an iCoffee Reusable Coffee Cup (it was included). It was also great that you get a sample pack of some great coffee choices like Marley Coffee and Tim Hortons.

  • SpinBrew™ Technology*
  • – Spins, steams & stirs inside the cup
  • Dial-a-Brew™
  • – From 4 to 12 ounces in ½ ounce increments
  • Energy Saver mode and automatic shut-off
  • Removable drip tray allows for larger mugs, including most travel mugs
  • The SpinBrew™ Technology in every iCoffee® single serve brewer spins, steams and stirs right inside any K-compatible cup to brew coffee that always tastes Impossibly Smooth™.
  • Our exclusive SafetyLock™ locks the single-serve brew head during the brewing process, protecting consumers.
Some coffee makers limit the size of the cup you can use, so sometimes you have to dump it into a togo cup. I really like the the Opus lets you remove the drip tray, to give you a little bit more room. This is a great time saver for those busy on the go mornings, and of course saves on dishes.

You can purchase the iCoffee Opus at many stores like Bed Bath & Beyond and Macy’s. Take a look at their site to find a store near you and pick one up as a Christmas gift. I know a few friends that have hinted at them wanting one.

  1. I love how versatile this machine is! We have a few different types of brewers so it would be nice to combine them and save some counter space!
